Football fans and a few clubs expressed their sympathy at Aylesbury’s struggles with many agreeing that the FA is damaging lower league football.
It comes as Aylesbury released a statement stating that they will be forced to be relegated as they can’t make changing rooms bigger to meet FA regulations.
Most of the footballing world is with you Aylesbury, but just a shame that the FA, The Premier League and a few greedy owners, players and agents are not.#disgusting

@SouthernLeague1 & @FA need to get into the real world. The whole issue is a mess, poor advice from both & lack of understanding of their member clubs. Promoted clubs from step 5 can come up with changing facilities that dont comply but existing clubs inc us get relegated. #joke

@BBCSport how can such an arbitrary thing be enforced so severely – the FA continue to damage lower league football by not helping out

Sorry to hear this, great club and community. Shocking decision.

Plenty more reaction followed to Aylesbury’s statement…
What a joke dont the FA want smaller clubs to exsist ? Does that mean alot of the lower leagues will get bigger ?

Feels like we’ll soon just have a football ladder based entirely on things like the size of clubs floodlights & how many showers they’ve got in the changing rooms.
No fans want to see clubs going up or down based on facilities.

To be fair they have told us about these conditions for quite a while now but doesn’t make it right

No compromises allowed. Unrealistic deadlines. So who takes their place in the league? Mid table side with big changing rooms??

Bloody ridiculous. No wonder non league is struggling with ludicrous fa rules like this
