Fans were left disappointed after finding out that Eastbourne Town had destroyed banners made by their supporters for being ‘too political’…
Always welcome at @hastingsufc…..#NoPyroNoParty ??⚽️?

That's a really poor decision by the club. Make them again only twice as big 1??

Love the banners and stickers , it’s the soul in what the ultras are all about … once they banned homosexuality … without banners and promotion things would be different today ?… protest is change , the only way things get done …. FORZA ✊

Shameful act by the club, especially after you have done so much for it.

I think the key point is destroying “without consulting”. Clubs and fans should be working together and I struggle to understand why a conversation did not take place. Disappointing.

@Dolphblogtatnam: Stupid decision. Great banners
@markdoidge: Sorry to hear this. These matters should always be in consultation with the fans
@GordonSMarino: Let me get this right, the club have destroyed your property. No consultation, no request to remove, no debate – just destroy. And they say football is all about fans.
@CanveyUltras: Thats a shame, some wonderfully produced banners there. Whether you agree with the politics or not, should have at least been asked about removal first ?
@TonyBengtsson: Solidarity from a South Shields FC fan. I’ve had a socialist flag up at Mariners for two seasons. Some side eyes but politics belongs everywhere, including football.
@bennyeveritt: Wankers.
