New footage shows the full time flare up between Leeds and Coventry players with Crysencio Summerville having to be restrained.
Chaos ensued with the furious Leeds goalscorer having to be held back and pulled away at the end of the Championship fixture after he appeared to reject Bobby Thomas’ offer of a handshake.
This sparked quite the melee with players of both teams getting involved, as Sky Blues midfielder Joel Latibeaudiere was able to intervene to block the winger, Summerville managed to grab Latibeaudiere by the collar, while Wilfried Gnonto went to restrain his team-mate.
Summerville initially escaped his grasp before Gnonto was eventually able to get the winger under control.

Leeds were out of sorts all game, as they struggled to to close the gap on the Championship’s automatic promotion places when held to a 1-1 draw by Coventry at Elland Road.
Crysencio Summerville opened the scoring on the hour mark when he got on the end of Georginio Rutter’s set up.
Defender Bobby Thomas however cut short those celebration when he got one back for Coventry six minutes later, rising highest to head into the back of the net.
Leeds boss Daniel Farke said, as per Leeds Live: “Disappointment and frustration. When you win a point you see positive aspects but after this game it feels like two points dropped. When you judge the game, we should have won. We did more than enough.
“I want us to feel the disappointment. I don’t want to talk about the positives. Coventry put everyone who could defend on their teamsheet. They left their creative players out. It was clear that they would sit very deep.
“You have to be relentless until you open them. We did this with a fantastic goal. The problem is we didn’t bury the game. Then a totally unnecessary loss of the ball and we allowed a cross to come in. There was one cross we had to deal with in the whole game. We weren’t able.”
Farke chose not to speak on the performance of referee Geoff Eltringham, but instead claims that he expected “much, much better” defending when they conceded, adding that his side had enough players back to deal with the cross.
On next week’s clash with Ipswich: “Like each and every game. You have a chance to win three points and we want to go for it.
“It would be a defining game if it was the 43rd game. It’s not even half-time in the season.”

Coventry’s Mark Robins said, as per the club website: “I’m really proud of everyone. When you come to a place like Leeds, in any normal circumstance it’s a difficult game, they’re a Premier League team with Premier League quality and pace.
“On the back of that they played on Tuesday, and we played on Wednesday and they have unbelievable depth and quality and for us to be able to not just hold them but carry a threat in the game I thought everyone should be proud.
“We were backed fantastically by the support, they were vocal and we heard that and felt that and they were brilliant.
“The fact we’ve drawn 1-1, it feels like a win in so many aspects of the game and the fact we’ve been able to put in a performance like that off the back of Wednesday and one less days recovery is credit to them.
“We’ve scored a really well worked goal, Bobby Thomas’ header is a brilliant goal and its a great ball in from Tatsu and we had other opportunities to score as well.
“We’ve worked really hard, and we had to. We had to change some things and take Milan and Tatsu off and that’s a difficult thing to replace at the moment.
“Jamie Allen tried to do that, Callum was on the right-hand side and Kasey when they switched over and Josh Eccles came to right-wing-back and they made it difficult.
“We kept them down to limited chances, there were a few scary moments, and you can forgive that because of the weight of the ball they had but again to stay in the game like we did and have the opportunities to go on and win the game in the end was impressive.
“We know how good these teams are at times, so to pick up a point here after the way they’ve performed here this season, unbeaten here, was brilliant.
“Credit to them and really proud of them and the support, it was another brilliant point against another relegated team.
“You have to try and do things that make sense to the performance and give everyone a chance. You always have to be mindful of what we’re going to get from the performance.
“Some of the lads haven’t played much football recently because I’ve kept the same team to get that continuity and rhythm for them after the start we had and although we were playing brilliant football the results weren’t there but they’re starting to come.
“You can see the confidence starting to come through. Although Ellis hasn’t scored he’s working hard for the team and hers a threat because his pace and power carry that.
“The energy, work rate and desire were all there and they deserved that today.”
Twitter users reacted as new footage shows the full time flare up between Leeds and Coventry players with Summerville being restrained…
@RussCowlingFoto: What does that Thomas want, a handjob? Summerville was pissed off with the result and acknowledged him. They were a right sent of wankers all game
@JE22_JCK: Pathetic from both. Summerville pathetic for not shaking his hand. Thomas pathetic for getting so upset about it and trying to start a fight over it.
@rcw9715: Pathetic and childish from the lad. Fair play to Bobby Thomas we would all do the same 👏🏽👏🏽
@Llewcalon: Summerville was in the wrong there. You shake hands at the end of the game regardless of the result. Thomas confronts him about it, and he reacts like a little crybaby. Knew he was in the wrong. I find it hilarious that Fark didn’t even react to it lol #CCFC #PUSB #CTID
@patrickrahman: Down to shit referee. Allowed Leeds players to be kicked and fouled whole game.. Worst referee ever seen
@scollop87: Horrible attitude, manners cost fuck all but some people still can’t afford them. Good on Bobby Thomas letting him know about himself. Jumped up little prick made a right show of himself. BAD 🪖
@realmattcrowe: It doesn’t matter what goes on on the pitch. The final whistle goes you shake hands. It’s sportsmanship and respect. If any of my players refused to shake hands at the end of a game, regardless of what happened on the pitch, they’d be getting fined.
@leedsforever1: The bloody cheek of Thomas kicked lumps out of Summerville all afternoon and takes offence cos he won’t shake his hand
@skiersteve23: The ref has to take a lot of the blame for this
@DougDexta: Very unprofessional and disrespectful from Summerville. He is just a smalltown boy
@Ash__1992__: Proper odd from Thomas tbh. Just looking for a reaction at full time.
@mickhart76: Blame lies with the referee for this incident. @Coventry_City players taking chunks out of @LUFC players without any action from the ref. And don’t get me started in that GK time wasting 😮🤷♂️
@CarlM1979: Everyone calling him, Summerville had been getting kicked all game then people want to shake his hand? Can’t blame him for not wanting to.
@GillsonAndrew: Why do people have to start fighting about this sort of thing? If he didn’t want to, he didn’t want to. Not ideal but so what?
@simonparsons19: Don’t blame him. The referee was absolutely abysmal at let Thomas get away with foul after foul
@PR4PNE: Some ego on him, weren’t he the one buzzing over having Lee Peltier on strings?🤣
@StevenBMedia: Looks like Summerville needs to grow up
@paulpkgd: Amazing how Leeds love the “dirty Leeds” reputation when in suits them and when they were all hard in the 70s, but throw their toys out the pram when a few tough challenges happen now ✊🏻✊🏻💦💦
