According to reports, former Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock is not interested in a ‘shock’ return to management after being linked with both Hearts and Middlesbrough jobs by The Sun.
Warnock only departed from the Welsh capital club last month after a three-year spell as manager, which saw him take the Bluebirds from the Championship to the Premier League in 18 months, however couldn’t keep them up in the 2018/19 season.
The 71 year old was immediately linked with the Hearts job, having previously spoken about his desire to defeat and overcome Rangers and Celtic.
The unemployed manager boss however reveals his stance on the managers job by saying that he will remain in South Wales until the New Year.
It is also understood by WalesOnline neither Hearts or Middlesbrough have sounded out his opinion before they approach him formally.
Warnock has not completely ruled out a return to management in the near future, but looks set not to go into management having only just completed the terms of his exit deal with Cardiff.
Plus, Boro boss Jonathan Woodgate has the backing from the boardroom that he can turn Middlesbrough around amid claims he is about to lose his job.
The Northern Echo understands chairman Steve Gibson still has faith in Woodgate and is NOT planning a change at this stage.
