The National League turn to clubs to share their playoffs suggestions and whether it would be feasible to play them with some wanting to do so.
They have until the deadline of this Friday to bring forward ideas to determine how they end the season, as well as if teams will go up and down.

The National League board will have the final decision and it is set to meet again early next week.
However, there is a lot waiting on the English Football League, they are still in talks on how to end the current campaign, should it be resumed or cancelled.
They maintain their hope in wanting the remaining games to be played out whether it’s behind closed doors or not. It is not known whether this goes for the North and South divisions too.
The EFL are still working on the basis of two teams being promoted into League Two, but if the season is cancelled, then Stevenage could avoid relegation, with only one team coming up from the National League to fill Bury’s place.
Even if National League clubs do support the idea of playoffs, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll happen.
A further decision will be made on how to determine the league.
If that decision is to expunge the season, then no playoffs will take place. pic.twitter.com/Gv7srpnF6m

This is how the National League table finished…

Should it be based on PPG, then it would be Barnet who replaces Stockport for a playoff place.
Fans reacted after learning that the National League turn to clubs for playoff suggestions…
Just had a fantastic idea, people should pay to watch the playoffs online and the profits split between all 24 national league clubs. What do you think ?

No.

Exactly what I thought. If playoffs are even being considered, then it would suggest that the automatic promotion/relegation spots would be a done deal. You wouldn’t consider playoffs unless that was the case.
Unless of course it could also mean top of N/S playing bottom 2 of NL.— Micky Bananas Kane (@Bananas_WFC) April 27, 2020
Well said

Just end it. Same as steps 3-7.
Null and void the lot. There’s no other practical way to do it. It’s tough & hard@on any team that’s had a good season, but nobody (living) has seen a global pandemic like this before.— ? Andy ? (@OrientMeatPie) April 27, 2020
Not sure how it’s feasible. What about teams in relegation positions in NL? What about teams in promotion positions in NL North and South? What about teams in relegation positions in NL North and South? No one promoted from step 3 also! Null and void is only sensible solution imo

Ridiculous, they entered into a contract to complete a full season, they didn’t do that. They have not fully complied with that contract therefore there should be no promotions or relegations, you cannot just make up new rules because it suits you.

There needs to be some common sense to prevail.
I’ll be disgusted if the likes of Vauxhall Motors and Jersey Bulls are denied promotion through the voiding of the season, despite having already secured promotion pre-lockdown
That would be wrong on every level

As a Notts fan I should be all for this, however over the last 3 days I’ve seen my wife attend A and E twice. Thankfully she’s fine, but you know what it does put things into perspective and for me I couldn’t really care less if they go ahead or not at the minute. LOVE LIFE!!

I’ll take it as it would mean the season isn’t null and void….

We’re Notts County, we sue when we want.
