This season’s National League Playoff Final tie is now confirmed after Salford City came out on top and beat opponents Eastleigh to book at place at Wembley later this month.
The Ammies’ Carl Piergianni netted his 11th goal of the season through a header from Ibou Touray’s excellent cross.

Just before the half time whistle, the visitors’ Alex Wynter hit the bar with a half-volley from outside the box.
Eastleigh did eventually find that all important equaliser when Mark Yeates found Paul McCallum at the back post for his 27th of the season.

Despite many close chances for both sides, including a goal line clearance from Wynter in the dying minutes for Eastleigh, though no more goals could be scored in the 90 minutes and extra time, so it went to penalties.

Salford City will now play AFC Fylde in the playoff final at Wembley on the 11th of May.
