One National League North club vote to end the season immediately as 68 teams have until May 7th choose whether they want the campaign to finish or not.
Hereford, who sat 15th in step two of non league football when the season was put on hold, outlined their intentions with regard to the vote from member clubs.

The club said: “On the football side of things, we can confirm that a vote is taking place of clubs to immediately end the 2019/20 season in the National League. If the vote is successful, no further matches will be played in the regular season.
“Clubs will then have a further vote to decide on exactly how the season ends, with the options for that still being decided by the league and FA. As a club, we are voting for the season to end immediately.
“With the current season potentially running to September, and no guarantees on being able to play in front of spectators during that time, there are far too many financial uncertainties to consider carrying on the season. Once the result of the vote is known the Board will provide an update as to the next steps.”
With football on a continuing hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, the National League has yet to announce a final decision over the 2019/20 campaign.

Only 4 votes for NLN – how do Hereford get one from 15th in the League?

Shock. They’ve had nothing to play for since they went out of the cup competitions and have a huge wage bill to deal with so need them contracts cancelled

They wouldn’t agree to end it if they were top of the league . Tinpot club .

The majority opinion determines the votes for the regional leagues. Nobody needs to cancel contracts as they end first week of May anyway. That’s why carrying on the season is difficult. If they are extended most clubs will just go bust with no income

How did the league decide which clubs got a vote if only 4 get to vote? And which are the other 3?
