More backlash as Sheffield Wednesday reveal season ticket prices after matchday ticket costs

There is unsurprisingly more backlash as Sheffield Wednesday reveal 2023/24 season ticket prices after publishing the matchday ticket costs.

The most expensive ticket price for an adult on a matchday is set at nearly £60, while the cheapest adult ticket is £27, see more on that by clicking HERE.

As mentioned, there was more backlash as Sheffield Wednesday reveal season ticket prices after matchday ticket costs…

@JoeButlerUK: I was looking to get a season ticket but I’m not paying those prices. For a working class club in a deprived town, you should be ashamed.

@chrish18181: I could have renewed for £445 but unfortunately had life responsibilities to pay for first. I don’t want to pay finance as it leaves a credit check on my credit score. Although I have now saved the amount needed why would I pay £130 more than I could have paid 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

@Owls1412: This is a complete and utter joke and needs addressing…. I thought mine was expensive first time round but looking at these prices it would have cost me £640 MORE.. for mine and my sons that’s the price of pretty much every other team in the league season ticket 😳

@TrapitJon: Killing the club

@J_swfc1867: We need 10 players before 4th of august

@Victoria1867: i rarely chime in anymore ‘cause it does no good but me chansiri you need to sell up and go. it’s not working. all that hard work everyone put in last season is gone. go with it.

@ToonOwls: 36 quid a game on south stand ahahahahahahaha

@ianowl: What do you expect to achieve with these prices ? Did you look on the mirror at yourself before clicking the send button.

@bertram_sir: £825. You’re having a laugh.

@_Nick_James: In the immortal words of Mis-teeq…..”so, so, so scandalous”.

@maccaowl: 825 on south 😂😂😂😂

@andrewbrown5: Being bled dry, and no sign of decent signings yet, if the Pies go up, that’s me done lol.

@wannao7: Chansiri, give it a rest. 🤦

@GrantR_1867: For the team to likely be looking to survive and consolidate in the championship, those prices are ridiculous. There’ll be a very empty looking Hillsborough this year bar the core 20,000. Another missed opportunity to win over the fence sitters after Wembley.

@andymcelwaine: ‘If you are a member of an exclusive member’s only country club and have a double-barrelled surname, own five family cars, put your kids through Eton and go skiing every February half term in Aspen or Lech, this offer may apply to you…’

@adrianhowell: Why don’t you want to sell any more season tickets?

@thorney811: The club are pricing families out of it & many will now see a visit as a luxury/treat rather than a regular day out following the club we love. Missed a genuine opportunity to take advantage of the recent success and get more youngsters ( future fanbase) attending regularly.

@RileyRo81239241: Extortionate pricing. Wake up DC!

@jamesG1867: Has this come as surprise? No. Does it make it any less disgusting? No. We know the people that support him are part of the problem but people also need to realise that staying quiet because you don’t want to be negative is also being part of the problem.

@davo33uk: Sorry but no more than £123 for U18s to watch premier league games across city and £100 more for our U17 🤦🏻‍♂️ dearest adult £528 compared to our £825 !! So for 2 adults and 2 16 year olds an extra £800 a season WOW – and we wonder why our attendance isn’t increasing on normal match

@No_Gimicks: Always been a big supporter of chansiri but this is taking the piss. He can do one for me now after this.

@Cuttsy1982: Absolute joke! Who is deciding in these prices, it’s ridiculous

@dalehaywood40: Absolute bargain ..don’t forget those who cant afford one, stop eating, sell your house etc if you really want to go 🙄 #chansiriout

@LeeWoodhouse00: £825 to sit on the south with zero leg room, watching a sub standard quality of footballers and only warm carling to drink at half time. #chansiriout

@CraigLeggate: Surely if youre buying a season ticket you would have done so already. The match day tickets for people who can’t go to every game are a disgrace but for me these season ticket ones are a non story.

@waynejackson84: They’ve priced me out of going. Just starting to take my son who’s 7. Went to a few home games last year and he’s really starting to enjoy it. Sadly we won’t be able to go anymore. 😢

@Adamwhittaker12: Anothrr own goal. You can see why this is to try and appease the matchday price backlash but it’s not the answer. Introduce 2 values. 1 for early bird and one for match days. Do it quick and sort out all the difference for those who have already committed. It’s never too late
