Mason Greenwood is set to ‘become a dad’ weeks after attempted rape and assault charges were dropped and backlash from female players.
Manchester United suspended the 21 year old, who recently found out that his partner is pregnant. Family members made it known and the couple are now “looking forward to” the summer arrival.
Greenwood was taken into custody in January 2022 after a woman [Harrit Robson] posted a photos and videos of abuse on social media. He was cleared of any wrongdoing three weeks ago.

He is still suspended by the club, but he gets his £75,000-a week salary. He is still contracted through 2025.
Reports claim that Greenwood would like to be back in the first-team squad as soon possible and it’s believed that some female players would be very concerned if Greenwood was allowed to return by senior club officials.
Natalie Burrell, the founder of United Women’s Supporters Club, said that she would never see Greenwood again in a red shirt.
She stated that United need to make a statement, and that letting him go back would be the worst thing they could have done.

Mason Greenwood is said to have met with Manchester United teammates after his charges were dropped.
After being accused by a woman of rape and assault, the 21-year old was taken into custody in January 2022. He was also charged with sexual assault and threats of murder.
Greenwood was also charged with attempted rape and engaging in controlling or coercive behavior. He was due to stand trial in November.
It was revealed recently that all charges against him were dropped.
“We have a responsibility to ensure that cases are under constant review. The case involved a combination between the withdrawal of key witnesses, and new material that made it impossible to convict. “In these circumstances, we have a duty stop the case,” stated a spokesperson from the Crown Prosecution Service.
“We have made our decision clear to all parties. Any potential victims are encouraged to report to the police. We will prosecute if necessary.

Man Utd is currently investigating the matter and will decide whether to reintroduce him in the first-team squad, or terminate his contract.
Fenerbahce are believed to be one club of interest come the summer transfer window.
Greenwood is expected to miss the rest of the season with the 20-time English champions determined not to rush the decision.
Manager Erik ten Hag is believed to have held talks with the player over the phone.
According to The Sun, Greenwood also met up with his teammates recently in an effort to repair their relationship.
“He reached out to some United players, some of whom he’s known from his academy days,” the newspaper’s source says.
“They have met with him privately to hear his thoughts so that they can make their own decision.”
Another adds that there’s sympathy for someone innocent before the law, and who has been a teammate for a while.
Greenwood is thought to be collecting in the range of £70,000 per week, with him contract at the Old Trafford outfit through to June 2025 with the option for an additional 12 month.
In 129 appearances, the forward scored 35 goals and had 12 assists for Man Utd in all competitions. His last appearance was against West Ham United in January 2022.
It is believed that there is a split within the club’s staff regarding his future. But, it is expected that the English giants will take several months to make a decision.
