Man Utd have chosen to release a statement after club captain Harry Maguire gets arrested whilst on holiday in Greece.
Reports in the country emerged on Friday morning suggesting that Maguire had been arrested following an incident while staying out in Mykonos.
Greek newspaper outlet Proto Thema state that he was detained after an incident outside a bar on Thursday night. There has so far been no official comment from local police.

There are also claims that police had been called by locals at 12:30am to report that two groups of Englishmen were fighting outside a bar on the island.
There are allegations that three men from the group attacked police verbally and physically when they had no choice by to intervene in the situation.
The trio, which included the England international, were then reportedly taken to Mykonos police station where it is alleged the confrontation with two officers continued leading to their arrests.
Maguire was filmed taking in the sights of Mykonos on Thursday night.
Fans in Matagiannia recognised the centre-back and started singing his name whilst he walked his way through the streets.

In a club statement, United said they had made contact with Maguire and would making no further comment.
“The club is aware of an alleged incident involving Harry Maguire in Mykonos last night,” the statement read.
“Contact has been made with Harry, and he is fully co-operating with the Greek authorities. At this time we will be making no further comment.”
The 27-year-old was enjoying an end-of-season break following the Premier League side’s elimination from the Europa League at the hands of Sevilla on Sunday evening.
After Sunday’s semi-final defeat, he said: Maguire said: “We deserved to go through but ultimately we fell short at the semi-final stage, for the third time this season.
“It means a lot to us, the boys are devastated. We have a good group of lads who know what it means to play for this club and losing isn’t acceptable. Getting to semi-finals isn’t acceptable and we now have to look at taking it another step.
“Maybe that little bit of inexperience cost us in the end. Even when we are on top, creating chances we shouldn’t concede that second goal.
“They worked it well down the right but we have to do better. We conceded from two crosses and it’s not good enough.”
Fans gave their reaction after reading that Harry Maguire gets arrested in Greece, and it’s fair to say many a joke was cracked on the topic…

Harry Maguire might have been arrested but you have to ask yourself, what is Pogba doing about it. https://t.co/DdZuehdnWi pic.twitter.com/9s1BEYLX9U

Harry Maguire has reportedly been arrested for fighting while on holiday in Greece.
Lawyers will use footage of his defending against Sevilla to argue that he has no awareness of his surroundings and couldn’t possibly react quick enough to be involved in a fight.

I hope he wasn’t defending his mates, because they’d be fucked

Him and his buddies reportedly caused a scene/started a fight and later he punched a police officer at the police station. I hope he faces the full weight of the law like any citizen would although he is so minted the bail will probably be peanuts for him. Ridiculous

Can’t believe there’s people criticising Harry Maguire. If anybody assaults your mate/mates you should always defend them. Respect to Maguire for being a man.

If the Greek police have watched Harry Maguire play CB this season I highly doubt they’re gonna believe he’s capable of self defence
