Man City fans decided to taunt Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella as Erling Haaland makes him eat his words after being mocked earlier this summer.
Footage captured on camera, Cucurella walks past the away end full of Manchester City supporters, letting him know just what they thought of him.
Enzo Maresca’s first Premier League match as Chelsea’s manager ended in defeat, with Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic securing all three points for the defending champions.

Haaland, celebrated his 100th appearance for City, and easily displacing Cucurella before placing the ball past an past Robert Sanchez to get on the scoresheet.
“He [Sanchez] always stays a lot on the line, so that’s why I took a couple extra touches and then he’s rushing out, and then I knew exactly what to do,” Haaland said in his post-match interview with Sky Sports.
Cucurella had created a chant during Spain’s Euro 2024 celebrations, singing: “Cucu, Cucurella, he eats paella, Cucu, Cucurella he drinks Estrella, Haaland you’d better tremble as Cucurella is coming,” both on stage and in Spain’s hotel following their victory over England.
But a month on from then, Cucurella’s actions seem to linger in the minds of many, making his way around the Stamford Bridge pitch after being substituted for Renato Veiga.
He faced boos, chants, and plenty of hand gestures from Man City fans.
Following the match, Haaland commented on Cucurella’s choice to sing his name after Spain’s Euro 2024 win.
Speaking to Viaplay Fotball, he said: “Well, Cucurella is a funny man. Last season he asked for my shirt… and this summer he sings a song about me.”
Haaland also decided to blank Cucurella in the 78th minute of Sunday’s game after the Spanish left-back went down with cramp.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca speaking to Sky Sports:
“For me, the important thing is to create chances. We didn’t score but we created chances. The first goal for them was almost offside, we almost scored. These things change results but the performance was good overall. It was quite clear, you can see a team trying to keep the ball and dominate.
“We were against the champions today. We will continue and win games. They are a master in this kind of moment. We had two or three chances. They are a master of keeping hold of the ball. The performance was there and that is the main thing. You can see how they manage the ball.”
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola to Sky Sports:
“I didn’t expect it. We are away from our best so three points is the good news. The bad news is we have 65 games ahead of us.
“We have an advantage, it’s our ninth season together so we know each other well. Of course there are mistakes you have to improve but we talked, the difference in being champions was our body language, how did we behave?
“It’s the bad moments in the season and in the games that define the big teams. For me, it is an honour to be in charge of these guys. I’m so fortunate, I could not say more.
“There is a plan, defensive, offensive. But afterwards it’s how we celebrate the good moments and come back from the bad moments.
“That’s what defines these teams and no one talks about it. For a while we could never win at Stamford Bridge. This is a big step.”
