Mail Sport cause a stir after posting video of Jack Grealish ‘leaving Newcastle pub worse for wear’

Mail Sport cause a stir on social media after a posting video of Jack Grealish ‘leaving a Newcastle pub looking worse for wear’.

The 29 year old had been seen reportedly leaving a venue in Newcastle hours after spending the evening at a social club on Sunday night, a day after he played in Man City’s FA Cup win at home to Plymouth.

Mail Sport has contacted Grealish’s representatives for comment after seeing a video and photos of him.

The video that Mail Sport put up on Monday evening has gone on to get over 4 million views and counting, as well as over 8,000 likes, 2,000 quote retweets and nearly 1,000 replies. Many fans defending him for enjoying his day(s) off.

Grealish was named in the starting line-up for the Fifth Round tie after what has been a tough season so far, making just 14 starting appearances across all competitions.

Pep Guardiola recently questioned his fitness and conditioning, while also expressing support for him to improve, after the player talked about enduring the toughest year of his life.

Following the 3-1 win on Saturday, Grealish headed to the North Biddick Social Club near Sunderland.

The Daily Mail wrote: “With six days until his club’s next fixture – their Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon – Grealish had earlier spent the afternoon at the Lord Nelson pub in Gorton, Manchester, posing for photos with locals and fans.

“Grealish appeared to wind up his leisurely Sunday staying in the north east, with the 29-year-old visiting Irish pub The Dubliner with friends.

“The star was captured leaving the venue looking a touch worse for wear and holding a glass bottle at 10.52pm on Sunday evening, with Grealish keen to walk to his waiting chauffeured car with his head down.”

Jack Grealish opens up on toughest year of his life as Pep Guardiola gives his support

Three weeks ago, Jack Grealish openly discussed facing the toughest year of his life, marked by professional struggles at Manchester City, including injuries and a lack of goals, alongside personal challenges on and off the pitch.

‘Last year, the whole year itself, it was weird because my little daughter was born, but apart from that it was one of the most difficult years – probably the most difficult year of my life for many reasons, on and off the pitch,’ Grealish said.

‘I found it really difficult. But it’s a new year, a sort of fresh start, and hopefully I can kick on from here.

‘I feel like in my last few games that I have played – against Palace, Salford and Orient – I am trying to be involved more in the goals and assists.

‘Listen, I want to start playing more often and have that rhythm – the way I was a couple of years ago when I was playing a lot of games in a row,’ Grealish added.

‘I do find it difficult at times to come in and out of games, not really playing. Hopefully I can keep training well and playing a few more games.’

‘Listen, Jack played at (Leyton) Orient and played really good, and after he played against (Real) Madrid – Madrid is not a friendly game, right?’ Guardiola said.

‘For problems, he cannot play three games in a row; playing a game against Nottingham (Forest) good, and after maybe he didn’t play and in the training session was injured again.

‘So not big issues, but (Jack Grealish) cannot make a big effort, sustaining again, and again, and again. This is the only question mark – no other one.’

As mentioned, Mail Sport cause a stir after posting a video of Jack Grealish ‘leaving a Newcastle pub worse for wear’…

@RNewall2: Breaking news man goes to pub on his day off

@JakePritchardFC: Grealish is done, we need to sell him. Fell off a lot ever since we won the treble and doesn’t take his career seriously. We wasted £100 million on him.

@TomY9825: It’s his day off and brothers birthday

@Lea_EFC: Millionaire gets pissed on night off.
Seriously, this who cares 🤔
Good luck to him 👀

@JH_37_: Why is this national news ? He’s probably had a right laugh and bought some people a few pints. They’re humans beings and deserve to do what they like in their free time.

@andy_cov93:
Yet another rag at it
If you leave a pub sober at midnight you are either;
1- designated driver
2- a tit whos spent the last 12 hours harping on to everyone about becks 0% as if it’s the best thing in the world
Leave the fucking man alone for 1 day

@vinny_brand: he’s a grown man, is he not allowed to go on the drink with a few mates on his day off?

@AG17__: think everyone knows i absolutely love grealish so i will sound extremely biased here but i swear he is literally slaughtered constantly all because he cost 100 million

@bailey_wynne2: Just from the minutes log, it’s clear he’s done at City, and Guardiola has given him more opportunities than any other player he’s ever coached. ‘Footballer has social life’ comments are just naive ones without context. The real issue is finding a buyer. Very little upside.

@barlowjacob: Better drinker than footballer. Have to respect it, but let’s stop pretending he’s gonna be any use to us moving forward. Thanks for the memories, but it’s over Jack.

@Jkeller_19: Breaking news: Footballer has a life

@bolly1307: Man goes to the pub and leaves drunk. Imagine my shock

@Carzy1994: Guy videoing is a bellend. Let the guy have a few drinks and enjoy himself fuck sake

@SpikeBaugh: Can’t he go for a beer no ?

@natashaeveritt7: Leave him be ffs

@LukeMorley94: Leave the fucking lad alone. Pricks

@MancityGP: It’s his brothers birthday man ffs leave him alone
