Macclesfield Town have recently issued a statement after a video emerged on social media showing staff in a nightclub less than 24 hours before playing their fixture at Swindon Town on Saturday.
It is claimed that the assistant manager and a kitman were spotted in the video that has been seen by thousands on Facebook and Twitter.
The day after, Macclesfield went on to be beaten 3-0 at the County Ground, seeing them fall to 14th in the League Two table and taking the Robins to 4th. It’s since changed following last night’s results.

The statement issued by the club: “Macclesfield Town are aware of a video published via social media on Friday evening – ahead of our Sky Bet League Two clash with Swindon Town.
“We appreciate how distressing that this must have been for our loyal supporters – especially those who travelled down to Wiltshire on Saturday in support of the team.
|The four members of staff had left the hotel without the permission or knowledge of Head Coach Daryl McMahon.
“The four individuals have let the club, staff, players, themselves and our fans down massively.
“The individuals in question are being dealt with behind closed doors, as this type of behaviour is completely unacceptable.
“We will make no further comment on this incident and all of our energies are now fully focused on the busy fixture schedule ahead.”
After watching the video, fans took to give their reaction with some criticising them and others defending them for ‘having a life’ – see those tweets on the next page.
