Luton Town cheekily mock an abusive Sheffield United fan with a gone viral TikTok video of Alfie Doughty scoring to silence the home crowd.
There was widespread condemnation for the elderly supporter having been captured live on TV giving the Luton player some stick when he was about to take a corner.
And it’s fair to say Doughty, 24, relished every moment of shutting up the Bramall Lane faithful by netting his first ever Premier League goal in Luton’s 3-2 victory.
The Hatters uploaded a clip of Doughty getting the abuse, before scoring, and captioned it: “Yeah, you can keep talking mate…”

The 24-year-old laughed it off saying post-match: “I think the past two games have really shown what we’re about.
“We already knew this at the start of the season. It was just about us getting used to the league.
“I think we’ve come on leaps and bounds. The performances recently have been top. Before, we didn’t really get the results we wanted, but the past two games we’ve got the results.”
Doughty on his goal: “Some people call it lucky, but I like to put it through the keeper’s legs. It was brilliant. I think we needed that to quieten the fans,” he said.
“It was a perfect evening, though and I’m so proud of the boys. The first half we were amazing, we really dominated. The second half they were a lot better but to win just shows the character of the boys.
“You’ve seen before how we can keep going and going. We went 2-1 down, we’re like ‘that’s fine, the game’s not over’ and this result shows that.
“I’ve loved playing in the Premier League – it’s been enjoyable, a fun. We’ve now got to get the results and if we can I think we’ll be fine.
“The past two results have given us a good bit of momentum,” added Doughty as Luton get set to take on Chelsea next up. “Even before we’d shown against City and Arsenal that we were playing really well. We beat Newcastle, won today and now we’ve got to take it back to the Kenny for hopefully another three points.”

Rob Edwards felt that the switch of position can help add an air of mystery about Doughty’s game too: “He’s a threat on either side. When he’s on the right, there’s more of an unpredictability about his game because he can still go on the outside and cross with his right, which he did.
“He went on the outside to get his goal but then he can chop in and he did chop in at one stage after he got the goal and had a sighter from the edge of the box that got blocked. So he’s a real threat when he’s on the right.”
