Liverpool to rival Manchester United for Yves Bissouma?

Liverpool have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to ESPN

Liverpool are set to rival Manchester United in the race to sign the Mali international.

The Reds are looking at the 24-year-old midfielder as a potential replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum who is set to depart Anfield at the end of the season when the Dutchman’s contract expires.

According to the same story, the Premier League champions are weighing up a bid to sign Bissouma as an ideal replacement for Wijnaldum in the mid-season transfer window.

The report goes on to claim that Liverpool would need to make an offer somewhere in the region of £30 million to sign the Brighton star.

ESPN claim that Man United are also interested in the creative playmaker, while AS Monaco are also keeping close tabs on the African ace.

Bissouma has contributed three goals in 68 appearances in all competitions since his move to the Seagulls from the French club Lille in the 2018 summer transfer window.

Liverpool will take on West Brom on Sunday.
