Igor Tudor snaps back at a Sky Sports reporter, and Arne Slot responds to boos after Liverpool and Tottenham drew 1-1.
Dominik Szoboszlai scorted with his fourth direct free-kick of season to put Liverpool ahead on the 18th minute.
But Richarlison’s 90th minute equaliser earned Spurs a deserved draw, the best performance under interim coach Igor Tudor.
The result sees Liverpool up to fifth in the Premier League table, Spurs are 16th – one point clear of relegation zone.
Tottenham boss Igor Tudor was asked by Sky Sports if he has got the ‘fight’ he spoke about after their last match:Â “Yes. It is an amazing, incredible point we take here, and deserving We showed team spirit. Congratulations to the guys.
“It is very difficult to even explain our circumstances. In training, we prepared in one way. This morning, Conor [Gallagher] says that he is not able to play so we need to change the players and positions. The moment is really strange and even more challenging to show who we are. The players were really amazing.”
How did you change the tactics? “In attack we tried something different. In this moment it’s difficult to work on an structure in attack so we try to simplify it otherwise it can get more difficult. The style of football is what it is, and I think it’s a good start. “
“The team spirit was amazing. This was the main demand. The quality is there. Every point is crucial, we are just going game by game. We hope today is a turning point.
On his position and future: “In every club in the world, it is the same [as Tottenham] when there is not a good result. The change of coach gives ‘hope’ but the problem stays. The coach needs to solve the problem.
“Journalists like to ask these questions but it doesn’t make sense. The coaches are obliged to ask these questions, otherwise they like to stay at home. You insist with the same questions.”
“You insist almost always with the same questions!”

Tottenham manager Igor Tudor speaking to BBC Match of the Day:Â “A lot of hard work, will to do right things and be a team. We can say it was deserved. It was not easy so I am happy, happy for the players. I’m happy. It is never easy to come here.”
On what he wants from his players:Â “There was progress in terms of mentality and will to stay and suffer. That for sure is progress. I cannot speak about progress because we know what happened in the last two games. Today is a game where we came here with 12 players. This is something big for our fans, for the players. This is really something big.
On his celebrations for Richarlison’s goal:Â “It’s nice. All the games are important because there are not too many until the end. Every point counts. We need to get players back and choose the right players. We have a game on Wednesday [against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League] and then we play an important game against Nottingham Forest.”
Liverpool boss Arne Slot, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live:Â “Frustrated. Every time it happens in the last minute it is an enormous frustration.
“How many times does it need to happen? And it happened again today. This time it didn’t come as a complete surprise – the last 15-20 minutes of the game were the most equal part of the game.
“As I am more than used to this season – we were not able to score from the chances we got and then conceded in the last minute.
“I think the way they scored that goal wasn’t the first time they threatened like that. It happened two minutes before half-time.
“I have 12-13 players that are able to bring good performances. Rio [Ngumoha] is doing that well it makes sense to play him.
“It is a mix of playing the ones that are fit and using the quality that these players can bring.”
On ‘boos from Liverpool fans’: “I think and expect that it was aimed towards the team which I can completely understand. If you can’t feel the frustration after dropping points at home against Tottenham, who are on a poor run of form.”
Slot speaking to Sky Sports: “Again in the last minute, again after an opportunity to score ourselves and again we leave the pitch with a disappointing result. The way we concede is not always the same in the last minute. You cannot compare the deflected shot against Wolves with the shot today. All of the moments they had came from long balls and second balls and we were not able to clear the ball fast enough. The last 20 minutes we were in counter attacks but not able to score from those moments. As this season is going, it is not a complete surprise we are conceding in the last moments.
“We are never able to outscore the amount of chances we have. There are parts of our game that we definitely need to improve and that’s why we are in this position.
On Rio Ngumoha:Â “I think I have said two months ago, he progressed so well as a 16-year-old and now 17 he is progressing well. A performance like today will only help him to get more minutes for this club.”
On what to fix between now and next season:Â “We have conceded far too many goals to pick up the amount of points that this club and I am used to. We have so much attacking quality but if you don’t score enough, you have to keep a clean sheet and we haven’t done that enough this season.”
On the booing at the end of the game:Â “No, I think it is completely normal. If the team you are supporting drop so many points against teams you don’t expect them to so many times in the last seconds of a game then I think we all feel a lot of frustration.
“They have experienced this far too many times, more times than they are used to and that is completely normal that they show their frustration. The frustration is felt by me, by the players and also by our fans.
“I’m 100% sure that if they show up on Wednesday [against Galatasaray in the Champions League] that they will be supportive again from the start but if the team doesn’t perform to the standards that they are used to, I think it is completely normal that they are frustrated.”
🗣️ “It’s completely understandable that after another late goal conceded, after another time dropping points, that they [fans] and we are frustrated.”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot speaking to BBC Match of the Day:Â “Unfortunately we weren’t able to score more than one goal. I think the most equal part of the game was the last part when both teams had their chances. Most of the chances they had came from similar situations as their goal did.
On Dominik Szoboszlai’s goal:Â “Great goal. It’s nice to score a goal like that. We had many better chances than that one but if Dominik is behind the ball it becomes a big chance as we have seen again today.”
On Rio Ngumoha’s performance:Â “He enjoyed it as well and I enjoyed it also. He has developed very well throughout the season. He is 17 and now he has had his first Premier League start. He was a constant threat and that was definitely one of the positives to take from the game today.”
On whether it was two points dropped:Â “Yeah of course, home game, being up for so many minutes, yeah of course, two points dropped.”
Tottenham forward Richarlison speaking to Sky Sports:Â “In the first half I missed two chances but in the second half I had the opportunity again and I scored. We have an important game in the Champions League [on Wednesday] and main focus is the Premier League.
“I like to play against the big teams, I want to stay fit for my team and for my national team for the summer because they need me to be fit.”
Tottenham defender Pedro Porro speaking to Sky Sports:Â “We needed to push because it was a difficult game. Today the team was good, the fans were unbelievable also and we keep going now.
“I always believe in my team. In this moment you need everyone together and today we had a good game. For now we take the point, take the positive things.”
On whether Igor Tudor deserves credit for his game plan:Â “We needed to follow the plan for today. My team-mates did the same, in this moment we knew we had to stay 1-0 in the second half and this was important for the game. We are playing for the manager and this is important for everyone now.”
Dominik Szoboszlai spoke to Sky Sports: “That is a huge disappointment. I don’t know what happened, I have nothing to say. In the last minute, again, I don’t know how many times this season already. We have to wake up.
“I feel flat. We have to wake up because if we carry on like this, we should be happy with the Conference League. I don’t know why this is happening, I honestly don’t know.
“I think in the first-half we played very well, we controlled the whole game and they hardly created chances apart from one or two headers. Second half we just didn’t so the same things.
“We will sit down together, and this is the most difficult time, but we have to stick together.”
“I didn’t hear the boos, but we can understand them. We are not performing how we should. They should stand behind us because last season we became Champions four games before the end everybody was happy. Support us in a difficult time.”
“There is still time to show how much we want it, we have to stick together and fight for the club.”
Here’s the social media reaction after Igor Tudor snaps back at a Sky Sports reporter, and Arne Slot responds to boos after Liverpool and Tottenham drew 1-1…
The smirking face at the end of the interview makes it obvious he was trying to get a reaction from Tudor. pic.twitter.com/9wZIkVGvPo

@HLTCO: Completely right of Tudor to call out the pointlessness of that line of questioning. What is the interviewer expecting of him? It’s purely to try and rile him and get a viral clip out of it, he’s done that but most people are instead siding with Tudor over it.
@GaryRWard: This guy doing the interview has a long history of this, trying to provoke a reaction. Just look at his sly face at the end. Sky has fallen off a cliff in terms of quality in the game; it really has.
@corkspur: I’m no fan of Igor Tudor, but the interviewer is a fucking helmet.
@ISAYWHATIWANT19: What a shite question that was from sky sports embarrassing
@DanhTHFC: Sky Sports reporter has no shame. Disgraceful behaviour from this reporter.
@ProTottenham: Dick move from Davidson. Try spin it as spicy from Igor but he was asking the same ridiculous question trying to rile up Igor and get a x-rated response. Shoddy presenting. Really piss poor! Low level standards of presenting now
@rooney03: One of the most embarrassing lines of questioning I’ve seen in some time. And that’s something considering sky sports are constantly churning out embarrassing stuff.
@YedIin: There is fundamentally no use in a manager having to do a pre-match presser, mid-week presser, post-match presser, pre-match interview, AND post-match interview. Especially when it’s the same 5 bait questions each time. How more of them don’t snap in these situations is admirable
@LairySockPuppet: I actually love him for this. Ange used to call out all the fucking stupid questions and now Igor. Get better questions and you’ll get better answers. I have every respect for managers being this cool in the face of stupidity.
ON SLOT’S COMMENTS:
@AnfieldAgenda: No, they were aimed at YOU, Arne – YOU.
@ScouseRepublic: Can’t knock his response here. Got booed, and rightly so. The players were a joke. I don’t personally think today was a lack of system, attack or cohesion, the lads on the pitch simply shit themselves. Must be burning the managers head out! But something has to give!
@flareszn: Disgusting. Blames everyone/everything else but himself
@dylslam24: Zero accountability from the manager…. standard
@Anfield_Age: Remember Jurgen saying when we win its down to the players and when we lose its down to me. Couldn’t be further removed from this guy, always happy to throw the players under the bus, no wonder he can’t motivate them.🤷‍♂️
@dhale85: It’s not just aimed at the team, Arne. It’s named at the style of play. It’s aimed at you and your staff. We have been abysmal all season. Take responsibility, man.
