Watford

Discussions are continuing between the Hornets and representatives of three out-of-contract senior players: Craig Cathcart, Tom Cleverley and Dan Gosling.

Meanwhile, midfielder Leandro Bacuna and striker Britt Assombalonga will definitely not be remaining at Vicarage Road. The club thanks them for their contribution and wishes them both well for the future.

Four of these five names will appear on the ‘Retained & Released List’ against Watford FC’s name when the EFL makes its official publications soon. Dan Gosling’s name will not; his contract was cancelled by mutual consent ahead of season’s end, however he has continued to rehab with the club’s support staff after his Achilles tear late last year.
