Leicester City fans bite back at ‘irrelevant’ pundit after a bizarre claim of his following the Foxes’ 2-2 draw against Burnley.
Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has come out to reveal a series of controversial statements following the weekend’s action.
On this occasion, he said the club have “messed it up so much” before going through the “problems” at the King Power Stadium this season, pointing towards injury troubles and the form of James Maddison and Harvey Barnes as causes for concern.
❌ “There is problems there. Maddison was dropped.”
🤔 “You look at Iheanacho. What does he have to do to get a start?”
🦊 “Maybe #LCFC are just at where they’re going to be.”

So far this season, Leicester have picked up just seven points from their opening six Premier League games and are without a win since since the 28th of August.
“There are problems there,” Agbonlahor said of Leicester on talkSPORT.
“Maddison was dropped. He’s not started the season well. I don’t know if that £70m bid that was talked about from Arsenal might have affected him. He’s not been the same player this season.
“You look at Iheanacho. What does he have to do to get a start? He comes on, scores, back on the bench.
“Maybe it is early in the season. (They need to) get those players performing. Harvey Barnes needs to get on the goal and assist trail.”
Agbonlahor also gave his verdict on what Leicester would be satisfied with having “messed it up so much” when looking to qualify for the Champions League.
“I think Leicester are at where they’re going to be. They’re in the Europa League and maybe they’re going to be one of those teams now.
“They’ve tried to get the top four, they’ve messed it up so much. Maybe mentally now they’re going to be like ‘you know what, if we just get back into the top six, it’s okay’ because I don’t think they’ve got enough in their squad to get into the top four.”
The “messed it up so much” comment is what many have been left baffled by, given Leicester spent more time in the top four than any other team over the last two seasons.
Whilst they were dropped out on the final day twice in a row, the FA Cup holders have been making yearly progress both on and off the pitch.
As mentioned, Leicester fans bite back at the ‘irrelevant’ pundit after the bizarre claim…
@trev_harry : Agboncantscore what does he know.
@peterp2000 : Gabriel who?
@lcfcwaggy: Hes pretty much spot on, we bottled top 4 twice now on the last day of the season and this season we clearly have problems
@anacondanufc: Wish my wallet was as thick as this prick
Sean Hamill: He certainly likes to give his opinion, considering he’s a player that won nothing, he’s even calling for Manure to sack their manager, he must think that fans care about his opinion.
Ben Whitehall: talkSPORT should axe him, I swear he sits there at the weekend watching games and wonders how he can wind everyone up with his shitty comments for days after.
Steve Harrison: He’s right that we don’t have the squad to finish top four and yeah Maddison and Barnes are not the players they were last season. We also messed it up on the last day the last two seasons but mainly down to injuries costing us.
Paul Sherwood: Thanks for the opinion mr “irrelevant Villa player”.
Esther Gamble: I don’t listen to anyone that also claims he’d take Harry Kane over Cristiano Ronaldo…
Jason Lee: They def won’t finish in the top four, but some of the other stuff he’s spouted out is ridiculous like
Joanne Fox: As if anyone is going to listen to him!! Give it a rest!
At the start of September, Gabby also revealed that he couldn’t see the club finishing in the top 4 and wanted to see James Maddison scoring on a regular basis…
“I think Liverpool will finish fourth this season,” he said. “Behind champions Chelsea, Man City and Man United.
“Leicester will again be the best of the rest, in my opinion.”
🦊 “Leicester just need Maddison to start getting goals & assists. For me, he’s started really poorly.”
😬 “They’ll be up there between 5th & 8th, but I think they’ll miss out on the Champions League this season.”
