Leeds United fans mock Chris Wilder as Sheffield United fall to 2-0 defeat with two second half goals at Elland Road on Friday night.
Pascal Struijk put the hosts ahead on the 69th minute, then Mateo Joseph made sure Leeds were coming away with all three points while also ending the Blades’ unbeaten start in the Championship.
Daniel Farke’s side went one up when Struijk blasted in from a corner, Sheffield United conceding for the first time in more than 11 hours of football.
Substitute Mateo Joseph made sure Leeds were moving into second with a 90th-minute second goal as he finished well from Joel Piroe’s pass.
Leeds fans belted out “Wilder is a wanker” during the game…

Despite the mocking from Leeds fans, he turned his attention to the game, saying Leeds were the best team they played this season.
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:
“They were an unbeaten side so far in this league, six clean sheets in a row.
“Chris Wilder’s sides are always well-structured, difficult to create chances against, they’re competitive, they’re aggressive.
“So it was important to find a good blend out of being brave, because we wanted to create chances, to score goals, but also to have a good structure behind the ball to control all their counter-attacks.
“It’s what we did, we had a good balance of being brave but also of being smart, and for that it was a really mature performance from the first to the last second.”
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder told BBC Radio Sheffield:
“We got done by the better side – they were better in all departments from the off.
“They won more first balls, dropped on second balls, were sharper to everything and are by far and away the best team that we’ve played all season.
“They’ve got quality right the way through and they’ve done that to other teams as well this season.
“We’re disappointed with our performance – the spotlight will go on why did we change it? It would have been quite easy for me not to change it, but we felt this was the best opportunity of getting a result here.”
Leeds’ Daniel Farke to Sky Sports: “Big compliments to the lads after not the easiest preparation. I think they played excellent today; it was a very mature performance.
“We faced a side that were unbeaten in this league and had kept six clean sheets in a row. The lads executed it [the plan] in a perfect way.”
Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder to Sky Sports: “We were beaten by the better side, no doubt about it. We didn’t have any answers for them. They are the best team we’ve played so far this season, no disrespect to any of the other teams we’ve played.
“It’s a disappointing evening for us all, but we didn’t deserve anything from the game.”
“They’re the best team we’ve played this season…we didn’t deserve anything from the game.”

Here’s how Twitter users reacted after Leeds fans mock Chris Wilder as Sheffield United fall to a 2-0 defeat at Elland Road…
@LUFC_Ando: Not a fan of his, but hats off for an honest assessment.
@MarkShipley3: Not my favourite manager but fair play its refreshing to hear no excuses from a boss
@anders_blades: We’d have taken been unbeaten well in October before the start of the season. CW got this one wrong and he’s said he makes the decisions. We move on ⚔️
@Ben_carro: Fair play to wilder. Was expecting (and hoping) for one of his little raging interviews
@KirstyLUFC: Ooh that is satisfying as fuck
@pessimistic_L: 😂😂 oooooofffftt I bet that hurt him saying that
@mithITFC: Appreciate Wilder’s honesty here, but why set up your team like that? Asking for trouble at Elland Road of all places
@leedsboygrant23: Bumba he’s actually being humble for once
@RussCowlingFoto: Don’t like the bloke but massive fair play here.
@JoshJaques2: The way he moved his shoulders when he says “because I’m the manager” 😂😂😂😂 what an absolute prick that bloke is #LUFC
@lukeomalley_: A wanker but no excuses from The bloke … hard to see how we’ve dropped this season so far I’m yet to see a team better then us
@Lee6378: Fair play to him.. that’s a decent assessment. 👏🏻👏🏻
