Latest ticket sales revealed by Leeds and Southampton for 2024 Championship Playoff Final

The latest ticket sales have been revealed by Leeds United and Southampton for this weekend’s 2024 Championship Playoff Final.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds sealed their spot in the final after a dominant 4-0 thrashing of Norwich City in the second leg of the semi-final. Ilia Gruev, Joel Piroe, Georginio Rutter, and Crysencio Summerville all found the back of the net, a win that led to the David Wagner departing the Canaries.

On the other hand, Southampton overcame West Bromw with a 3-1 win in their semi-final second leg, courtesy of goals from Adam Armstrong and Will Smallbone. Crowd troubled at the end of the game marred that one.

Southampton picked up victories over Leeds twice this season, a 3-1 win at St Mary’s Stadium and then 2-1 at Elland Road in a crucial match just a few weeks ago.

However, Leeds had previously won four out of their last seven games against Southampton, with two matches ending in draws (1-1 and 2-2).

This fixture has seen plenty of goals over the years, setting the stage for an exciting final this weekend.

SOUTHAMPTON:

Southampton tweeted on the 20th of May, saying: 35,667 👏 Our Sky Bet Championship play-off final allocation at Wembley has now SOLD OUT 👊 Incredible support, #SaintsFC fans! ❤️”

Not long now, Saints fans! This Sunday more than 35,000 Saints fans will descend on Wembley for the Sky Bet Championship play-off final, as Southampton take on Leeds United for a place in next season’s Premier League.

To help you plan your day and make the most of this momentous occasion, here’s some key information that might help you decide where you want to be and when…

All match tickets have now SOLD OUT, with the full 35,667 allocation snapped up by Saints fans. Never in doubt – thank you for your incredible support!

All official coach travel has also sold out. Coaches will depart St Mary’s Stadium at 9.30am BST

The stadium will open its doors from 8am BST, with breakfast rolls and drinks to be served in the Itchen South concourse

Face painters will be on site from 8am BST and then on selected coaches, painting fans all the way to Wembley. Please arrive early if this is of interest – we can’t afford to delay the coaches’ departure time!

The Stadium Store will also open from 8am BST, giving fans one last chance to buy Saints merchandise and show off your colours with pride at Wembley

On arrival at Wembley:

Saints have been allocated the West Fan Zone at Wembley Stadium – this is located outside Wembley Arena. For those approaching the stadium from Wembley Park Underground Station (the most convenient tube stop), the West Fan Zone can be found on the right-hand side at the end of Olympic Way/Wembley Way (see the red triangle on the map below)

The Fan Zone will be open from 11am-2.30pm BST, with last drink orders at 2pm BST. After that, supporters will be encouraged to head into the stadium. Match tickets will need to be shown for entry into the Fan Zone, which has a limited capacity of around 2,300

The Fan Zone will include a big screen and stage with a presenter, DJ and live music from Moonrunners, Calum Lintott, David Littleton and of course Saints Brass. Interviews with special guests will also take place on stage alongside competitions, giveaways, mascots and face painting

There will be an abundance of food and drink options outside the stadium, and a Jameson bus within the Fan Zone. Supporters are reminded not to bring their own alcohol to the stadium or surrounding areas as this will be taken away immediately and fines will be issued

Fans can bring empty plastic water bottles (500ml max) as there will be refill stations. Any bags must be no bigger than an A4 piece of paper

They added on the 22nd of May:

1,233 extra tickets have been given to Saints following our sell-out for Sunday’s vital play-off final against Leeds.

The limited availability of tickets for Sunday’s game, 3pm KO, will go on sale at 1pm for eligible supporters.

Tickets will go on sale to the below criteria, should they have not purchased a ticket yet. This the same criteria as when the fixture sold-out on Monday.

Season Ticket Holders for 2023/24 and 2024/25.

Paid Saints Members who have registered on the system before 11/05/24.

Supporters who have attended 1 Men’s competitive match this season.

Wembley’s extra allocation is expected to sell-out quickly and no further tickets are anticipated to be released following today’s sale.

Sales will once again be online only. When making your booking, take extra care in checking all details are correct before paying, as we will NOT be amending any orders once they are processed. This includes seat details, tariffs (age bands), and assigned names.

This is how fans reacted to the latest ticket sales revealed by Leeds and Southampton for the 2024 Championship Playoff Final…

@super_leeds70: If any more do go on sale, sell them from the ticket office window like the old days. Queuing all night was part of the fun!! Making memories! #LUFC

@Weysider: Never in doubt. #lufc

@ianscaife1: See you there on Sunday #lufc

@Weysider: I’ll be there 👍🏻 #lufc

@c_ellis92: I’m gutted. Did the 5 games but 1 was the playoff semi-final. If it was 22/23 I’d have had 15 on my own membership. It was a fair process even though I didn’t qualify this time round. Just praying some nice soul has a spare going at some point 🙏 #lufc

@HantsCastiger: Nobody more gutted than me to miss out but what an amazing club!! Going to keep begging on linkedin in case some corporate stuff becomes available!! #lufc #mot

@jamiemander2: Don’t let Southampton fans see this they’ve been wanking themselves silly thinking we haven’t sold out #lufc

@pete1977: Still think that its an absolute wank allocation #lufc

@enzo7i: it’s an absolute joke i couldn’t get my ticket because i don’t have a membership. it’s not fair on the fans that can’t get to any games! #lufc

@LS11LUFC: Leeds would take more…… oh.

@CiaranJackH: Really hoping that the club does a beamback so can still have an experience at Elland Road

@lufcMM0: Fucking gutted to miss out but I’m glad the club used there common sense and prioritised loyalty. Let’s get the job done and celebrate like mad men and women 🫡, marching on together. #LUFC

@JasonAppleyard: Cannot fucking wait! WE WILL BRING THE NOISE #lufc

@rmstrs: I expect they’ll all be snapped up by Leeds fans who, judging by things I’ve read on this platform, are currently on course to have around 43,000,000 fans in the Saints end.

@tomo_w94: So after all the #saintsfc ‘banter’ about selling out… Turns out they are getting an extra 1k because the Southampton cooperate seats didn’t sell out 😂😂😂 Oh how we’ve come full circle.

@Jack_Cohen17: Gutted not to be there in that number on Sunday, however I wish every Saints fan a fantastic game. RED ARMY! #SaintsFC

@ElChappo_LUFC: Counting down the days 😍😍 QUE SARA SARA💛💙💛💙
