It was Non League Finals Day today where both the FA Vase and FA Trophy Finals are played out at Wembley with over 40,000 expected to watch.
The first game was the FA Vase where Chertsey Town from the Combined Counties League Premier Division faced Southern Counties East League Premier Division side Cray Valley Paper Mills.
Both sides have already won their leagues and were keen to pick up a second trophy and become the new holders for the competition, replacing Thatcham Town.
On the 36th minute, Cray Valley PM took the lead when Gavin Tomlin fired in from close range, however it took just two minutes for Chertsey to get one back.
Sam Flegg smashed the post from a corner before then scoring the rebound.
Both sides defended well in the second half, but it was Cray Valley who was closest to getting their second and the winner, Anthony Edgar struck the crossbar with the last kick of the 90 minutes.
Into extra time it went and Chertsey were handed a penalty which Jake Baxter slotted home to give his side a 2-1 lead and were 15 minutes away from winning the FA Vase.
