Latest newly unveiled kits from English clubs for 2021/22 – 19th June

We take a look at the latest newly unveiled kits from English clubs for the 2021/22 season, and the majority of them have gone down well.

The current campaign is over and done with, so now their attention can only turn to the next one, and with clubs desperately needing the cash to boost their finances, now is the perfect time to release them to supporters.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve come across a variety of kits, some looking rather nice, though others have looked a lot worse, and then you have you just plain average bunch. Take a look at the latest collection to be launched below…

PORT VALE HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Port Vale home kit is predominantly white with gold trim on the collar and cuffs.

Both the Errea logo on the right side and the shirt sponsor are a gold colour as is the club crest on the left side.

Gold ‘Valiants’ text appears on the back of the neck whilst the players names and numbers will be in gold.

White shorts and socks with gold details complete the 2021-22 Port Vale home kit made by Errea.

HULL CITY HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Hull City home shirt is mainly amber with a black diagonal patterned sash running trim the left shoulder down to the bottom right corner. Some would say it has been run over.

Both the Umbro logo on the right side and the triangle at the base of the collar are coloured black.

On the left side is the Hull City logo, while Giacom have their logo in the centre of the shirt in white with a black outline.

Black shorts with amber socks complete the Hull City home shirt 2021-22 made by Umbro.

CAMBRIDGE UNITED HOME KIT

Cambridge United 2021-22 Hummel Home Kit | 21/22 Kits | Football shirt blog

The 2021-22 Cambridge United home shirt pays homage to the iconic 1993-95 home shirt and sees an amber jersey featuring a mix of black horizontal and vertical stripes. Too much going on or just about passes for you?

Both the Hummel text on the right side and the Mick George shirt sponsor are in white with a black outline.

On the left side is the Cambridge United badge.

The back half of the crew neck collar is black and white whilst the front half is amber.

Black Hummel chevrons are placed on the top of shoulders.

Black shorts and socks with amber details complete the Cambridge United home kit 2021-22 made by Hummel, who tend to go down a hit with reveals every summer.

BRISTOL CITY AWAY KIT

The 2021-22 Bristol City away strip is black with pastel coloured vertical lines on the lower half of the jersey inspired by the colourful houses in Totterdown.

A large Bristol City badge is placed in the centre of the chest, with white Hummel text beneath that then the Mansion Bet logo beneath that.

Inside the back of the hem is classic ‘One For The Bristol City’ text.

Cyan coloured trim appears on the collar and cuffs.

White Hummel chevrons are placed on the top of the shoulders.

Retro classic white ’B.C.F.C.‘ text is placed on the back of the neck.

ROTHERHAM HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Rotherham United home shirt is red with white pinstripes running down the front of the jersey whilst the sleeves are also coloured white.

Both the collar and cuffs are coloured red.

On the right breast is a white Puma logo with the windmill crest on the left breast.

New shirt sponsors IPM Group have agreed to have a simple black and white version of their logo in the centre of the football shirt.

Unlike the front of the jersey the back is plain red with white Parkgate Shopping logo on the top of the back coloured white.

White shorts with red socks complete the Rotherham United home kit 2021-22 made by Puma.

HUDDERSFIELD HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Huddersfield Town home kit pays tribute Herbert Chapman’s 1922 FA Cup winning side, the first and only FA Cup trophy in the club’s history.

Thicker blue and white stripes make up the jersey to resemble that worn be the 1922 FA Cup winners.

A white Umbro logo is placed on the right breast with the Huddersfield Town crest on the left breast.

In the centre of the chest is a tonal Yorkshire rose placed on the blue centre stripe, in tribute to the Yorkshire rose worn on the shirt for the 1922 FA Cup Final.

Inside the neckline are the names of the players who won the club their only FA Cup.

Utilita Energy have their logo in the centre of the football shirt coloured black.

In another nod to the 1922 FA Cup Final kit the shorts are plain white with tonal Huddersfield Town crest and Umbro logo.

Black socks with white tops complete the 2021-22 Huddersfield Town home kit made by Umbro.

BURTON ALBION KITS

The 2021-22 Burton Albion home shirt is yellow with a black gradient stripe running down the left side of the front.

Black trim appears on the back half of the collar whilst the Tag logo on the right breast is also coloured black.

On the left breast is the Burton Albion FC badge.

Prestec have their logo in the centre of the football shirt.

The shorts are black with a yellow gradient stripe running down the left side.

The home socks are half yellow, half black.

The new Burton Albion away shirt is white with a blue gradient stripe running down the left side of the front.

Both the trim on the back of the collar and the Tag logo on the right breast are coloured blue.

On the left breast is the Burton Albion badge.

The away shorts are blue with a white gradient stripe running down the left side.

Half white, half blue socks complete the 2021-22 Burton Albion away kit.

MIDDLESBROUGH HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Middlesbrough FC home shirt is inspired by the Transporter Bridge and sees a silhouette of the Teessides iconic landmark appearing on the front of the jersey which is red with a white chestband.

White Hummel chevrons are placed on the top of the shoulders whilst the Danish brands logo on the right breast is also coloured white.

On the left breast is the Middlesbrough FC badge.

On the white chestband is 32Red sponsor coloured black.

The back half of the collar is white with two thin red stripes running through it.

Inside the neckline is an image of the Transporter Bridge.

Red shorts and socks with white details will complete the Middlesbrough home kit 2021-22 made by Hummel.

GILLINGHAM KITS

The 2021-22 Gillingham FC home shirt is blue with two black stripes on the front.

The Macron logos are coloured white as is the collar and the Mems Power Generation shirt sponsor.

On the left breast is the Gillingham FC badge with white ‘The Lost Year 2020-2021’ text beneath it.

Blue shorts and socks with black and white details complete the Gillingham home kit design 2021-22.

The 2021-22 Gillingham away kit has the same template as the home kit but sees red as the primary colour.

As with the home shirt white ‘The Lost Year 2020-2021’ text is placed beneath the club badge on the left breast.

Red shorts and socks complete the Gillingham away kit 2021-22.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Nottingham Forest home shirt is red with a subtle tonal all over chevron pattern inspired by the Forest shirts from the 80’s.

The collar, cuffs and sides of the hem feature white trim.

Both the Macron logo on the right breast and the BOXT shirt sponsor are coloured white.

On the left breast is the Nottingham Forest crest.

The top of the back features the UK Meds sponsor whilst white ‘COYR’ text appears on the back of the neck.

EVERTON AWAY KIT

The 2021-22 Everton away kit is inspired by the first kit worn by the club back in 1881.

The new Everton away shirt is black with a orange sash running across the front taking inspiration from when the club were nicknamed ‘The Black Watch’ after their kit closely resembled what the famous Army regiment wore.

Tonal Hummel chevrons are placed on the shoulders whilst the Danish brands logo on the right breast is also tonal to add to the simplistic look.

The back of the football shirt is plain black.

Black shorts and socks with tonal Hummel details complete the Everton away kit 2021-22.

IPSWICH TOWN HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Ipswich Town home shirt is blue with navy pinstripes running down the front of the jersey.

The collar and cuffs are coloured white with blue trim.

Both the Adidas logo on the right breast and the Adidas stripes on the shoulders are coloured white.

On the left breast is the Ipswich Town badge.

In the centre of the football shirt is Ed Sheeran’s ‘Tour’ logo after the musician announced that he had sponsored the club last month.

The back of the football shirt is plain blue although supporters will have the chance to add a ‘Thank You NHS’ message to the back of the jersey for just £3.50 after raising nearly £8000 with the message added to the 2020-21 shirts. All proceeds go to the Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity.

White shorts with blue socks complete the Ipswich Town home kit 2021-22 made by Adidas.

CREWE HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Crewe Alexandra home shirt is red with a unique white pattern from the top of the shirt down to the bottom of the chest.

The crewe neck collar is red with a white band running through the centre.

Both the Mornflake shirt sponsor and the cuffs are coloured white whilst the FBT logo on the right breast is coloured black.

On the left breast is the Crewe Alexandra badge.

Unlike the front of the jersey the back is predominantly red with the Mornflake sponsor on the top of the back coloured white.

STOKE CITY HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Stoke City home shirt is made up of red and white stripes with the red stripes featuring a tonal diagonal pattern.

Both the collar and cuffs are coloured white.

A blue Macron logo is placed on the right breast with the Stoke City FC crest on the left breast.

In the centre of the football shirt is the bet365 shirt sponsor coloured white with a red outline.

PLYMOUTH HOME KIT

The latest Plymouth Argyle home shirt is inspired by the iconic black pinstriped shirts from the mid 80’s.

The thin black pinstripes run down the front of the green jersey whilst the back half of the collar and the cuffs are also coloured black.

A white Puma logo is placed on the right breast with the Plymouth Argyle badge on the left breast.

Long term shirt sponsors Ginsters have once again adapted their traditional colours to add to the look of the new Plymouth Argyle football shirt.

LEYTON ORIENT AWAY KIT

England captain Harry Kane has once again donated the advertising space in the centre of the Leyton Orient away shirt to charity, with Haven House being his chosen charity.

Haven House cares for seriously ill children and their families by providing round the clock care at the hospice in Woodford Green.

The 2021-22 Leyton Orient away shirt is predominantly neon yellow with a black ‘V’ neck collar.

Both the New Balance logo on the right breast and the Haven House shirt sponsor are also coloured black.

On the left breast is the Leyton Orient crest.

LINCOLN CITY HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Lincoln City home kit is inspired but the 1978-1983 seasons and sees a white jersey with three red stripes on the front.

Both the collar and cuffs are coloured red whilst the Errea logo on the right breast is coloured white.

On the left breast the Lincoln City crest.

During the 2021-22 season the club will have five different home shirt sponsors which will be announced. The first will be Virgin Wines.

Three red stripes continue on the back of the jersey.

PETERBOROUGH HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Peterborough United home kit takes its inspiration from the 1990-91 promotion winning kit and sees a blue jersey featuring a two diagonal gradient sashes on the front.

The sleeves are coloured white whilst the collar and cuffs are coloured black.

Both the Puma logo on the right breast and the Mick George Group shirt sponsor are coloured white.

On the left breast is the Peterborough United badge.

White shorts with blue socks complete the Peterborough United home kit 2021-22 made by Puma.

SOUTHAMPTON HOME KIT

The new Southampton home kit 2021-22 celebrates the clubs DNA and marks 20 years since the Saints left The Dell for St Mary’s.

Red and white stripes return as the 2021-22 Southampton home jersey takes inspiration from the final shirt worn at The Dell in the 2001-02 season.

Subtle vertical chevrons run down the white stripes and up the red stripes.

The collar is black with white Hummel text repeated on the inside whilst the edge of the collar features thin red and white trim.

Inside the neckline is an image of both The Dell and St Mary’s stadium.

The Hummel logo on the right breast is coloured black with a white outline.

TOTTENHAM HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Tottenham Hotspur home shirt is predominantly white with a navy Nike logo on the right breast and a navy Spurs cockerel on the left breast.

On the side of the left sleeve is the Cinch sleeve sponsor.

Inside the neckline is a retro Tottenham cockerel as the club celebrate the centenary of the iconic cockerel crest.

The back of the football shirt is plain.

Navy shorts and socks complete the Spurs home kit 2021-22 made by Nike.

LEICESTER HOME KIT

Alongside the new kit Leicester City have announced FBS Trade Online as the clubs new main shirt sponsor who replace King Power.

The 2021-22 Leicester City home shirt is predominantly blue with a tonal all over pattern.

The ‘V’ neck collar and cuffs are coloured white with thin gold trim.

White Adidas stripes are placed on the shoulders whilst the German brands logo on the right breast and the new FBS shirt sponsor are also coloured white.

On the left breast is the Leicester City FC badge.

White ‘LCFC’ text appears on the back of the neck.

White shorts with blue socks complete the Leicester City home kit.

LIVERPOOL HOME KIT

The 2021-22 Liverpool home kit takes inspiration from that worn by the club in 1964 when they introduced a fully red kit for the first time in their history with Bill Shankly famously saying that ‘red is for danger and red is for power’.

The new Liverpool home shirt 2021-22 is red with bolted crimson coloured pinstripes running diagonally across the jersey whilst the collar and cuffs are also coloured crimson.

The Nike logo on the right breast, the Standard Chartered shirt sponsor and the LFC crest on the left breast are all coloured white.

The back of the collar is green with a white centre stripe.

The crimson bolted pinstripes continue on the back of the jersey.

Red shorts and socks complete the 2021-22 Liverpool home kit made by Nike.

BRIGHTON HOME KIT

The 2021-22 season will be Brighton’s tenth season at the American Express Community Stadium and so the club have decided to return to the classic blue and white stripes.

The collar and cuffs are coloured white whilst the Nike logo on the right breast is coloured yellow as is the stripe that runs down both sides of the jersey.

On the left breast is the Brighton & Hove Albion badge.

In the centre of the football shirt is the American Express logo.

Inside the neckline is yellow tape with ‘10 Years At the Amex’ text beneath beneath it also coloured yellow.

Blue shorts with white socks complete the Brighton home kit 2021-22 made by Nike.

ARSENAL AWAY KIT

The 2021-22 Arsenal away kit takes inspiration from the 1970-71 kit used by the side that completed the league and FA Cup double.

The Arsenal away shirt 2021-22 is predominantly yellow with a navy collar and cuffs with red trim.

Inside the neckline is the ‘Arsenal For Everyone’ logo.

Navy Adidas stripes are placed on the shoulders whilst the German brands logo on the right breast and the Emirates Fly Better shirt sponsor are also coloured navy.

On the left breast is a retro Arsenal cannon coloured navy instead of the AFC badge.

The shorts are coloured yellow with navy details whilst the socks are navy at the top with red Adidas hoops, the rest of the sock is coloured yellow.

The club have also revealed that the 2021-22 away kit has been registered as a goalkeeper kit.

LEYTON ORIENT THIRD KIT

For the second season running England captain Harry Kane has sponsored the club and donated the space on the front of the home, away and third shirts to three different charities.

The 2021-22 Leyton Orient third shirt will feature the Mind logo, perfect timing as this is Mental Health Awareness Week.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane said, “I am delighted to be supporting Mind again for the 2021/22 season. Covid has presented so many challenges and that is no different for people’s mental health.”

Paul Farmer the Chief Executive of Mind, said, “There aren’t many better ways to mark Mental Health Awareness Week than yo receive the backing of both Harry Kane and Leyton Orient in our fight for better mental health. We’re delighted that Harry’s generosity means we can continue the important work we have been doing with the Club into the 2021/22 season. We’re also proud that our new logo will soon be on the front of the O’s third kit, which joins the Mind squiggle found on the back of the shirts as part of our partnership with the EFL.

“Football is such a powerful force for change. We hope that the increased visibility Mind gets from being on the kit, as well as the work the Club are doing with our local Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest off-the-pitch, brings about real change. We look forward to working closely with both the O’s and Harry to step up the fight for better mental health at a time when people need Mind’s support more than ever.”

The Leyton Orient third shirt 2021-22 is predominantly grey with a tonal all over pattern.

The collar is coloured black as is the New Balance logo on the right breast and the Mind logo in the centre of the football shirt.

On the right breast is the Leyton Orient crest.

CHELSEA HOME KIT

The new 2021-22 Chelsea FC home kit takes its inspiration from the 60’s and sees a blue jersey featuring a tonal distorted vertical zigzag pattern running down three quarters of the front whilst the left quarter of the front has a distorted tonal chequered pattern.

A yellow Nike logo is placed on the right breast whilst the Chelsea FC badge is placed on the left breast.

Three have their logo in the centre of the football shirt coloured white.

A yellow zigzag stripe runs down the sides of the jersey.

The back of the new Chelsea shirt is a reversal of the front and is predominantly made up of a distorted chequered pattern whilst the left quarter of the back features the distorted zigzag pattern.

Yellow ‘CFC’ text appears on the back of the neck.

The shorts feature the same pattern as the shirt whilst a yellow stripe runs down the sides.

White socks complete the Chelsea home kit 2021-22.

CHELTENHAM THIRD KIT

Errea 2021-22 Cheltenham Town ​Third Shirt

The 2021-22 Cheltenham Town third shirt is white with red sleeves and is dedicated to the clubs season ticket holders who waived their refunds during the pandemic and sees their names embedded into the jersey.

The collar and cuffs are coloured white.

Both the Errea logo on the right breast and the Mira Showers shirt sponsor are coloured red.

On the left breast is the Cheltenham Town FC badge.

The names of the season ticket holder’s who waived their refunds continue on the back of the football shirt.

Marchants have their name on the lower back coloured red.

LEYTON ORIENT HOME KIT

For the second season running the England captain has sponsored Leyton Orient. During the 2020-21 season Kane donated the space on the front of the clubs shirts to three different charities.

The 2021-22 season will one again see Kane donate the space on the front of the home, away and third shirts to three separate charities.

The 2021-22 Leyton Orient home shirt is predominantly red with a tonal sash running diagonally across the front of the jersey.

The trim on the collar and the New Balance logo on the right breast are coloured white.

On the left breast is the Leyton Orient crest.

In the centre of the football shirt is the Tommy Club logo.

The Tommy Club which is run by Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) is a new charity aimed at supporting vulnerable Armed Forces Veterans.

The funds raised through Tommy Club provide the vital welfare support and employment opportunities military veterans need to overcome challenges caused by physical or mental disability and regain their independence.

HARROGATE THIRD KIT

Harrogate Town beat Concord Rangers 1-0 to lift the FA Trophy in their new third kit.

The 2021-22 Harrogate Town third shirt is predominantly black with a tonal black pattern on the base of the jersey.

Both the thin trim on the collar and the New Balance logo on the right breast are coloured yellow.

On the left breast is the Harrogate Town FC badge.

Strata have their logo in the centre of the football shirt.

Black shorts and socks complete the Harrogate Town third kit 2021-22.
