Latest new kits from Premier League, EFL and non league clubs for 2022/23 – 27th July

We take a look at the latest newly unveiled kits from Premier League, EFL and non league clubs for the 2022/23 season, going down well with many.

The 2021/22 campaign is over and done with, so now their attention can only turn to the next one, and with clubs still needing cash to boost their finances to make up for the last few seasons, now is the perfect time to release them to supporters, plus with the start date earlier than usual in mind.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve come across a variety of kits, some looking rather nice, though others haven’t proved popular, and then you have you just plain average bunch. Take a look at the latest collection to be launched below…

WREXHAM HOME KIT

Wrexham AFC have today proudly unveiled the Club’s official home kit for the 2022/23 campaign, alongside Official Kit Supplier, Macron.

Featuring TikTok as front-of-shirt sponsors, the 2022/23 shirt – which will be available for purchase both in store and online from 9am on Wednesday July 27, 2022 – is priced at £44.95 for adult shirts (M to 5XL), £37.50 in children’s sizes (5XS to S), and £29.99 in baby sizes (3-6m to 1-2 years).

The kit – dubbed ‘The Red One’ in a special launch video featuring co-chairmen Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds on social media – features an embossed Welsh dragon design on both the sleeves and back of the shirt, and will be worn for the first time during Saturday’s pre-season friendly against Macclesfield FC.

The all-red shirt also features an embroidered 1934 on the nape, for the second season running, to commemorate the victims of the 1934 Gresford Colliery Disaster.

Also on the reverse – including on the retail shirt this season – is back-of-shirt sponsor Expedia. The shirt is crafted from Macron’s Eco Fabric.

WIMBLEDON AWAY AND THIRD KIT

We are delighted to reveal our away and third kits as we seek to continue the trend of keeping our story and our traditions at the forefront of our ideas.

Echoing a previous successful chapter in our history in a darker Dons’ blue we will wear deep blue and gold for the 2022/23 season. This kit will be retained for two seasons and will switch to our third kit for the 2023/24 campaign.

This third kit finishes off a two-year cycle of red and green and will be worn for the 2022/23 season only. We made the decision to retain a red kit as we know how popular it was last season. Due to a supplier switch we were unable to stock as many kits as we had demand for – hopefully this similarly designed kit will allow anyone who missed out to add to their collection.

The launch of our two changes strips follow on from the previous launch of our bespoke home kit, which is a nod to the strip that the likes of Joe Sheerin and Matt Everard took to the field in back in 2002, which itself was a tribute to the design worn during the club’s heroic FA Cup run of 1974/75. It will be worn for one season only.

BOURNEMOUTH AWAY KIT

Inspired by the palm trees on Bournemouth’s iconic seafront, the tropical foliage influences the graphic design of this season’s away kit.

Featuring a lightweight micro-eyelet to help alleviate sweat, the shirt has a graphic-printed front, stylised rib crew neckline and a dropped back hem with a twin needle finish.

‘AFCB’ is printed on the back of the neck, with a woven licensed label and club crest on the front.

As for the shorts, an elasticated waistband and internal drawcord are perfect for a secure fit, while a stacked embroidered diamond and woven club crest create a smart finish.

The socks are knitted white and have a blue calf single hoop. There’s also a white jacquard stacked diamond to the front of the leg, once again with ‘AFCB’ lettering on the back. A cotton footbed with an elasticated cuff makes for a nice finish around the ankle, which will provide comfort on the pitch.

READING HOME KIT

We are proud to unveil our official home strip for 2022-23 and, alongside the traditional blue and white hoops this season, sit stripes!

Last month, we announced a new, progressive partnership with the University of Reading which we hope will help start conversations around the climate crisis and ultimately inspire action.

We can’t do everything, but we can’t do nothing. And by incorporating the university’s ‘climate stripes’ infographic into the design of our new home shirt, we hope to help visually demonstrate to our supporters how temperatures have risen over a long period of time in Reading.

The bold stripe design, which features on the sleeves of the new home shirt, was first created by the University of Reading’s Professor Ed Hawkins in 2018. Each stripe represents the average temperature for a single year, relative to the average temperature over the period as a whole; shades of blue indicate cooler-than-average years, while red shows years that were hotter than average. And the stripes on the home shirt specifically track climate change in Reading across the full 151-year existence of Reading Football Club.

LUTON THIRD KIT

Luton Town’s new third kit for the 2022/23 season has been unveiled!

Working closely with club partner Umbro once again, this season’s third shirt features vertical stripes in shades of navy and galaxy with a splash of traditional orange embedded within the round neck collar and on the sleeves.

The Ryebridge logo is emblazoned on the third shirt for the fourth consecutive season following their hugely popular ‘Legends’ kit last term.

Due to production and delivery challenges, we are unable to sell the third kit at present. We will update supporters when the sale date is confirmed.

The shirts are priced at £55 in Adult men’s and women’s sizes and £29 for Juniors.

The shirt, which is paired with blue shorts and white socks, proudly displays the logo of the Club’s new principal partner, Spreadex Sports.
