Latest EFL TV selections – 3rd July

Another batch of TV selections by Sky Sports for August of the Football League season has been made.

In today’s announcement, 11 matches (ten from the Championship and one from League One) have been chosen in total by Sky Sports from the 10th of August to the 31st.

LEEDS UNITED v NOTTINGHAM FOREST (10th August, 12:30)
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN v FULHAM (16th August, 7:45)
SUNDERLAND v PORTSMOUTH (17th August, 12:30)
READING v CARDIFF CITY (18th August, 12:00)
HULL CITY v BLACKBURN ROVERS (20th August, 7:45)
PRESTON NORTH END v STOKE CITY (21st August, 7:45)
CHARLTON ATHLETIC v NOTTINGHAM FOREST (21st August, 7:45)
DERBY COUNTY v WEST BROM (24th August, 12:30)
SWANSEA CITY v BIRMINGHAM CITY (25 August, 12:00)
CARDIFF CITY v FULHAM (30th August, 7:45)
BRISTOL CITY v MIDDLESBROUGH (31st August, 12:30)

 

They join the others to have been selected, the league ones are Luton Town v Middlesbrough, Salford City v Stevenage, Nottingham Forest v West Brom, Bristol City v Leeds United and Huddersfield Town v Derby County, along with the Carabao Cup ones Portsmouth v Birmingham City and Salford City v Leeds United.

The last lot of games chosen left fans rather miffed off, mainly due to Leeds and Salford, who later that day drew each other in the League Cup and again the duo got picked.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony said: “Hey @EFL that’s a little too obvious putting Salford on TV straight off the bat. Could have waited till 2nd or 3rd round of fixtures 😂👀”
