A late winner from Ozan Tufan and a 96th minute triple save from Ryan Allsop sees Hull City stun Middlesbrough in the Championship.
Hull came back from falling behind to Boro, condemning the hosts to a third consecutive defeat.
Michael Carrick’s side had gone one up on six minutes, Emmanuel Latte Lath on the rebound after Isaiah Jones saw his shot blocked.
Middlesbrough however couldn’t extend their lead, Hull punishing them when Liam Delap was left unmarked and nodded home an equaliser.
Hull keeper Ryan Allsop put in quite the shift, keeping out Greenwood from close range before Ozan Tufan, on the edge of the box, put Hull ahead with nine minutes remaining on the clock.
Middlesbrough pushed to try and make it 2-2, however Allsop prevented that with a stunning triple save, saving chances from Jones, Rav van den Berg and Dael Fry in the seventh minute of stoppage time to keep Hull in front, with the result being the Tigers’ fifth away league win of the season.
Hull now sit 7th in the Championship, outside the play-off spots on goal difference only, taking 33 points from 21 games.
The 2-1 defeat is Boro’s fourth in five, meaning Carrick’s side are now six points behind in 13th.
Footage of the goal saving moment was soon uploaded onto Sky Sports’ social media, with it racking up over 1,000 likes.

It comes just 24 hours after Meslier wowed with an absolutely ridiculous save before Bellingham’s winner ends in-form Leeds’ run on Tuesday. Click HERE to see that.
Hull boss Liam Rosenior said after the game: “I’m really proud. Before the game, I said to the players that I was looking forward to seeing how we react.
“I spoke about us coming out swinging. It’s felt like the last week a few things have gone against us.
“That’s probably the worst in terms of football we’ve played that first half out of the (last) three games.
“At half-time, I said it’s not about football any more but who we are as people.
“For the players to show that character, the subs to have the impact on the game they did, it shows me we have a group that are together and believe we can do something really good this year.”
“That’s probably the proudest moment I’ve had as a young manager,” said Rosenior on Allsop’s save. “I saw every single player throw themselves at the ball.
“Then, the referee blows the whistle, I go to shake Michael’s hand, turn around and every single person off our bench was pretty much in their box celebrating together.
“That’s what football is about; it’s not just about playing beautiful football and passing the ball – it’s about having a group that stick together in difficult times.”
Meanwhile, Rosenior confirms Jaden Philogene has been ruled out for six weeks with his knee injury.
Michael Carrick said, as per Hull Live: “I thought we played ever so well. Against a good team, we gave them next to nothing, played some really good football, looked dangerous and had so many opportunities.
“Bitterly disappointed. I’d have been bitterly disappointed with a draw after that to be honest with all the good things that I saw in the game. It’s one of them things.
“It’s the way it’s gone. We need to be that bit more ruthless but I thought we gave them hardly anything in the game. We didn’t let them have much. I thought the second goal would come but we just didn’t quite have that quality with our last pass or finish to make it count.
“I thought we pressed fantastically well,” insisted Carrick.
“I don’t think they had a spell in the game where they opened us up, which they can do because they’re a good team. I thought we pressed well from the front, blocked the spaces we wanted to block, defended high up the pitch for the most part. I thought we controlled the ball and looked really dangerous. We made a couple of tweaks tonight which I thought worked. I felt really good and I was really proud of the boys for the way it was going in the second half, then we suffer that blow.”
There was plenty of reaction as the late winner and 96th minute triple save from Ryan Allsop sees Hull stun Middlesbrough…
@markbaker_1: Unreal. The 3rd save is insane 👏🏻👏🏻
@JoshSenior3: He deserved that… couple of mistakes lately. But he’s earned us way more points than he’s lost
@clifty04: Our most underrated goalkeeper ever. Baffles me the stick he got!
@hbotterill19: What a reaction from the squad. Love it.😍😍
@Soley1904: So buzzing for him. On the whole he’s been excellent this season. Mistakes happen. That reaction from the lads around him at the end is top.
@Brad_ccfc_24: Underrated at Cardiff for me. Quality that is
@wild_julian: That is a team who play for each other! @HullCity 🙂⚽️🐯👏
@WFCZak: Didn’t shout at his defenders this time 🤯
@jordantyson92: Slag him off now…..
@CYMRU270:
Someone has to say it
Ryan Allsop is a better GK than Runnarsson
@Uzzell01: Ryan Allsop. You just won us the game. Thank you
@Carlwilks2011: Again Ryan Allsop has really been awful his last two games. But that triple save at the death was simply brilliant, credit where its due. That was as good as a goal👏👏👏 #hcafc
@LeeScott92: Ryan Allsop that was fucking outstanding!! Mega 3 points after that first half shitshow. GET IN!! #hcafc
@alexcmfc: Ryan Allsop is the worst keeper in the league so naturally he becomes Buffon when playing Boro. I’m so tired.
@LouFountain: Oh my fucking god, Ryan Allsop take a bow #hcafc
@finbobs2312: RYAN ALLSOP OH MY WORD! #hcafc
@itisalex_: What a win lads, getting a win without our best player and winning not playing our best. BIG big win!!! Well done! #hcafc
@RoweKatrinerowe: Yes, he was excellent. Perhaps the doubters on here will give it a rest for a bit 🤔
@SBwian: Allsop in the right location location location again
