LASK v Tottenham live match stream

Our live stream ahead of Thursday evening’s Europa League match LASK v Tottenham is now up and running, kicking off at 5:55pm BST.

You can keep an eye on the commentary as it happens below, but first, we take a preview into the fixture, lineups, predictions and much more.

In the previous game, Tottenham drew 0-0 against Chelsea. Spurs moved to the top of the Premier League table with a Stamford Bridge stalemate; The Blues missed an opportunity to go top as Tammy Abraham and Oliver Giroud chances go to waste; Spurs drop points away from home for the first time this season.

The game before that saw Jose Mourinho’s side thrash Ludogorets 4-0 with Carlos Vinicius, Harry Winks and Moura getting on the scoresheet to have them on the brink of qualification.

PRESS CONFERENCE:

Mourinho on Bale

“Gareth? The only problem with Gareth is to get into the dynamic and the confidence of playing consecutive matches without any bad feeling or negative feeling, without any remembrance of the recent past when the condition was not the best and the fears were there. I think it’s more about that but he’s playing regularly and he has a chance of a physical evolution. He doesn’t need a tactical or technical one. He just needs to get his confidence back of playing three matches in a week. It’s more about that.”

More from the Spurs boss

“Arsenal doesn’t come into our thinking. When you make changes, you make changes based on problems that we had. When we do that, we put trust on the players we have. We don’t weaken the team because the Premier League match is next.”

Mourinho on Kane, Reguilon, Vinicius and Lamela

“All injured. Lamela is an injury from 3 weeks, a month. I don’t believe he has a chance for the weekend. Harry, Vinicius and Sergio there is a chance for the weekend.”

Mourinho on LASK

“The game tomorrow is a very difficult match for us. LASK is fighting for a chance to be qualified. We beat them at home but, because I know them, that game does not reflect them.”

Mourinho on Dele

“The ones who aren’t playing much time in their mind have only one thing to do and that is to show in the minutes they have that they should be playing.

“I don’t have any problem with Dele. I don’t have any problems with any of them. My players are happy when they play and not happy when they don’t play. I don’t blame my players. It’s only to improve their situation by using every minute they have to improve their position.

“The concept above everything is the concept that the team is more important than any of us. The example is Ben Davies. Against Chelsea he played five minutes and last season he’d play 90 minutes. But he played those 90 minutes like they were the last five minutes of his career.”

Mourinho on Alderweireld

“Yeah he has a chance [for the weekend]. Not for tomorrow. Joe played against Chelsea and it wasn’t an easy first match to play. Davinson will play tomorrow. We have our options if he cannot play and we will not cry if he can’t like against Chelsea.”

Mourinho on Kane

“I’m not going to tell you the nature of his injury. I think he has a good chance [vs Arsenal]. I don’t want to lie, I don’t want to hide anything in relation to is he going to play or no? I think he’s going to play. That’s my feeling is that he’s going to play.”

Mourinho on the Europa League

“In the Europa League, at this moment we’re in the race, we’re one of the most important horses in the race. We have to admit that.

“An English team in the Europa League is for sure an important club, but then, some important clubs are going to the competition later, which is something I never agreed [with] but it is the way it is.

“And for sure eight clubs that were not successful in the Champions League, instead of go home they come to the Europa League and that will change the dynamic of the competition.”

SPORTSMOLE PREDICTS:

Tottenham, and Mourinho in particular, will be determined to secure their spot in the next round before they welcome current leaders Antwerp to North London next week. LASK will be forced into a couple of alterations in defence and the attacking quartet of Spurs are sure to fancy their chances, so we cannot see any other result than a comfortable victory for the Premier League table-toppers at the Linzer Stadion.

Score prediction: LASK Linz 0-2 Tottenham Hotspur
