Josh Windass goes viral mocking relegated Championship club Huddersfield Town after Sheffield Wednesday manage to beat the drop.
Liam Palmer and Josh Windass both got on the scoresheet as they produced one of the greatest escapes the Championship has ever seen finished off with a 2-0 win at Sunderland and survival secured.
Meanwhile on the final day at Ipswich Town, they won automatic promotion with a 2-0 win, with Huddersfield Town officially relegated.
Josh Windass took to social media after today’s game, having heard the Terriers had been relegated to League One.
In his dig, he used a tweet that Huddersfield posted back in February after their 4-0 win which dented the Owls’ hopes of staying up.
But form drastically changed in months that have since passed, with Huddersfield Town getting just one win in 12, and Wednesday picked up a three-game winning streak, and also went six games unbeaten.
At the time of that February meeting, Huddersfield said on Twitter: ‘This is fun, isn’t it?’ to which Windass has now replied: So so fun 🎉”
He also said via Instagram: “A club like ours shouldn’t be celebrating staying up. But after the start we had. The most incredible turn around and everyone should enjoy it! My team mates and the staff, what a group of guys honestly! Vamos 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻”

Danny Röhl said after Wednesday’s win at Sunderland: “It is a fantastic achievement. We came here with the intention to win and this is what we have done.
“I want to thank everyone. Thank you to the chairman for giving me this opportunity and thank you to my players and all our staff. Everyone is together in the group.
“The manager is the manager but without the players taking the plans into action and delivering them, this does not matter.
“The focus, staying in the same direction, was essential. The results everywhere else did not surprise me – this is the Championship, the most incredible division.
“In our preparations for this game, the key message was to come here and get the job done, to come here and win.
“We could not and would not rely on any other team, we had to rely on ourselves.
“We have climbed the mountain, we have got back up from the floor.”

Huddersfield Town Head Coach André Breitenreiter said: “It was clear that it was a difficult game. Ipswich took their chance to go up to the Premier League, and from minute one they made pressure.
“We played well in defence, as a compact unit, and when our strikers or midfielders lost the ball, then they created chances, but we stayed together as a team.
“We need also a little bit of luck in some situations, but Chris Maxwell did it well as a goalkeeper, so [they were] 1-0 up at half-time.
“It was not easy to create chances, the second half was much better than first half. We played not brave enough, we wanted to enjoy the game and we wanted to play brave, but to be honest, they were better on every position.
“You could see that they feel confident, that they are clear in structure and they prepared the whole thing over the whole season. Two nil is a result we can live with, but we wanted to show a little bit more in the offence, but it was not possible, because they defend really well.
“They played with mentality, they tried to give their best, but we were not good enough, because they were much better.”
🗣️ “I need time to reflect to be honest.”
