Ipswich fans bite back at ex-Norwich player’s cheeky dig at rival club on social media, and it certainly caused a stir on social media.
Grant Holt, who found the net 78 times in over 160 appearances for Norwich between 2009 and 2013, responded to a post on Twitter, asking to name an iconic duo than himself with a former teammate.
Name a more iconic duo.

The 38-year-old took the opportunity to have a cheeky did at Ipswich Town’s expense by tweeting a picture of the Ipswich club crest with the League One logo.

Ipswich ended up finishing their dismal 2018/19 season bottom of the Championship table and were relegated to the third tier of English football for the first time since 1957.
It was also in the same campaign that Norwich got themselves promoted to the Premier League for the third time in the space of a decade.
So it was goodbye for now to the Old Farm derby, and in the meantime, fans and ex-players can only make little digs at each other to keep the banter going between both rivals until they meet again.
That could come a lot quicker than some expected however, with Norwich having a poor season in the top flight and Ipswich as mentioned flying.
Fair to say there was certainly a few Ipswich fans bite back at ex-Norwich player’s tweet…
