VIDEO: Caller shut off on MUTV when bringing up Glazers debt

A caller was shut off on MUTV when bringing up Glazers debt, which has gone viral on social media, getting around 4,000 likes and over a 1,000 comments on Twitter alone.

Jacob from Manchester was shut off for expressing his anger on the Old Trafford owners taking money out of the club.

He started talking about the Glazers using Manchester United as their personal piggy-bank since 2005 on the Paddy Crerand Show, before being immediately cut off.

According to the MUTV presenters, the question had nothing to do with football. Then a massively awkward pause followed and the programme quickly went to an unexpected commercial break.

Crerand himself, along with former United players Lou Macari and Ben Thornley, were present in the studio as well during the call.

The Glazers have taken at least £800 million out of United in the last 10 years alone after taking over at the club in 2005.

For comparison, fellow Premier League side Manchester City’s owner Sheikh Mansour has put about £1.3 billion INTO the club over the past decade.
