Fans gave their reaction to the rather bizarre story, with other suggesting how Sheffield Wednesday were using old school tactics…
Tin pot from Wednesday.

I have seen little subtle dirty tricks like this played on rugby teams before:crap changing rooms, cold showers etc. It’s all part of the plan to unsettle the opposition, to get them rattled, to assert home authority. Like sledging it’s underhand- nothing illegal but not ethical!

Reminds me of when Swansea cancelled #saintsfc hotel so they had to make a last minute booking in Cardiff! Saints won and The swans were relegated #karma

@__Marmite__: @swfc tinpot club
@TrevorT52900021: Worked wonders , best motivation ever
@ColinJohnCooper: I remember the old Wimbledon Crazy Gang leaving the toilets in state, cold water and not cutting the grass, but in professional sport when does it bring the game in disrepute? Should clubs face fines and points deductions for off-field cheating?
@civetta: Well if it’s true it didn’t work in Wednesday’s favour, did it? The club really needs to sort itself out. As a fan I hate this kind of thing. 🙁 #swfc
@TonyMilner20: Love seeing Wednesday in this mess, all the while their neighbors are smashing the prem, looking forward to seeing the 2 biggest clubs in Yorkshire play a derby in the premier next season #lufc #sufc let’s all laugh at #swfc
@Jinja_Owl: Why wouldn’t you travel with your team on the bus? To turn up in your car to a full car park and demand a space which doesn’t exist smacks of ‘not the full truth’.
@scholarrob: Pigs probably didnt turn the plugs off they’ll have been cut off by the electric company! Night matches they’ll be asking fans to bring torches!!!
