Hartlepool United once again go viral after unveiling this year’s Remembrance Day shirt, as they do every year to raise much needed cash.
This year will focus on the 80 year anniversary of the Battle of Britain as they show our gratitude to all those who gave their lives.
The National League club have done this for the last few seasons now and it’s always a big hitter with the supporters – even better it’s for a good cause.

CLUB STATEMENT:
Hartlepool United are delighted to launch the 2020 Remembrance shirt which this year will show our gratitude to the service personnel who gave their lives in the Battle of Britain fought over the Summer and Autumn of 1940, 80 years ago.
Acting Executive Director Martin Jesper added: “This is a tradition that deserves its continuation so we can show our respect to all service personnel. Our respect goes to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. After initial consultation with supporter group representatives it was agreed that this year the Club should recognise the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Britain and it seemed appropriate the representation of the RAF fighter jet was front and centre of this year’s kit”.
The team are currently planning to wear the commemorative kit during the scheduled fixture against Wrexham on Tuesday 17th November at Victoria Park. If this date changes due to any unforeseen rearrangement closer to the date, we will of course let you know.
The shirts have the same fit as the 20/21 home and away shirts. We strongly advise that supporters check their sizing before ordering as we cannot refund/exchange these shirts as they will be made to order.
Pre order is now available via our club shop website and you have until Thursday 5th of November to place your order.
If you would like your order posted out to you at a cost of £3.95 in the UK then please select the correct shipping option.
Click and collect is also available with an email sent out when your order is ready to collect from main reception.
Both GK and Outfield shirts are available to pre order now at Pools Retail online: https://poolsretail.com/
Last season’s shirt had images of Navy personnel as well as the ship RML 497 which is currently housed at the National Museum of the Royal Navy Hartlepool, itself a survivor of the Second World War.

Love the shirt but why have we not kept the poppy on the shirt?

@FACupFactfile: Love this shirt produced by Hartlepool United for #RemembranceDay @footballandwar
@NickMiller79: Leicester had actual military vehicles outside their ground during Respectapalooza last year, but for me this is a step up.
@_CJenkins95: Absolutely unreal, fair play
@fistedaway: Disgraceful, it hasn’t even got a poppy on it
@kev_brackstone: Lovely shirt yet again but no poppy? #LestWeForget
@panarinshufc: that’s gorgeous
@benkirgy: I reckon if my Grandad was still with us, he’d be embarrassed by what has become of Remembrance Day. It’s no longer about the people like him and paying respect to them. It’s just a big nationalist holiday. Absolutely pathetic.
Derek Malcolm: As usual…. Pools take the lead in commemorative shirts. Well done Pools
Andrew Parker: Wow, tremendous!!
David Robinson: Yea where’s the poppy class shirt otherwise
Jarred Price: Unreal every single year
Kyle Hinchley: Absolutely gorgeous
Jason Lee: This is fantastic once again. I’m surprised more clubs haven’t done something similar to help raise money. Doing yourself proud Hartlepool. Fair play
Christopher Hackworth: That’s a stunning shirt
Michael Hørseman: Now that’s class
