Girlfriend unimpressed at footie loving partner for being more starstruck at Conte and Ranieri

A girlfriend was left unimpressed at her footie loving partner for being more starstruck at Antonio Conte and Claudio Ranieri sitting nearby.

The young couple went on a Valentine’s dinner this week, only for the Man Utd fan sat at a table waiting to be served were stunned after spotting the two Italian managers.

After intending to go out for a romantic meal, the fan appeared to pay more attention to the footballing duo more than his girlfriend sitting opposite him, possibly unaware just how big these two legends are.

In a video posted to TikTok, Conte and Ranieri are seen having a laugh and a joke at Bombay Brasserie in South Kensington, London.

The social media user couldn’t resist getting the rare moment onto his phone, but it’s safe to say his girlfriend looked far from amused that he was more interested with what was going on behind her.

And to compound her misery, the fan even made sure to grab a selfie with Conte and Ranieri after dinner.

Social media users reacted with the girlfriend unimpressed at her footie loving partner for being more starstruck at Conte and Ranieri…

Conte and Ranieri met up with each other weeks after they faced each other in the Premier League back in January, with Conte in charge of Spurs and Ranieri at Watford.

Neither manager was in charge for the first meeting between the two sides back in August of 2021, with Tottenham running out 1-0 winners thanks to Son Heung-min’s first half goal.

The reverse fixture at Vicarage Road did see both at the helm though, with Davinson Sanchez’s 96th minute header taking all three points home for the Lilywhites in a frustrating afternoon for both managers.

Conte and his bench were seen celebrating wildly, before the Italian saw he was celebrating in front of his friend and quickly stopped doing so in a touching moment on the sidelines.

Ahead of the game, the Tottenham head coach had discussed his friendship with Ranieri, saying: “First of all, there is great respect for the man. Claudio is a top person. There is friendship and shared admiration off the field too, between our respective families.”

Ranieri was equally complimentary of his counterpart, saying after the game: “Antonio is a fantastic manager, where he goes, he changes the team.

“And Tottenham now is a very strong team, he wants to arrive in the Champions League, and I think at the end he will achieve that.

“His attitude, his strength, his quality. He convinces his players to do everything, he convinces also the board to buy good players. He is a fantastic manager.”

Unfortunately for Ranieri, he was axed from the dugout at Watford, being sacked before the end of the month as Roy Hodgson replaced him.

Conte and Ranieri have plenty of similarities in their coaching history, both managing Chelsea and Inter Milan as well as both winning the Premier League in their times in England.
