Fulham have been left rather bemused as Paddy Power brutally take the piss out of them with a viral tweet on Tuesday night.
A video was uploaded by the Wimbledon tennis Twitter account showing the “Views from the Hill” as British number one Cameron Norrie booked a place in semi final where he will face Novak Djokovic after defeating David Goffin.
Some thought the celebrations were rather lacklustre, so much so that Paddy Power decided to include newly promoted club Fulham in this.
They wrote: “Craven Cottage when Fulham score a last minute winner.”

Fulham were having none of it however as the bookmaker’s tweet blew up, hitting back: “Wimbledon is the oldest tennis competition in the world, but it’s still not as old as this banter.”
Paddy Power simply responded to that by uploading a photo of Charlie Nicholas’s face, from the moment he had no come back to Jeff Stelling’s banter.
When told to ‘go to Specsavers’ by Super Saturday host Jeff Stelling in one of his most infamous clips, Charlie stumbled as he tried and failed to mount a worthy comeback.
‘Well, maybe you should go also Jeff because you couldn’t see driving home the other night because you don’t even wear your glasses on TV in case you get slagged off so you stick to Specsavers and I’ll do the game,’ he replied.

This isn’t the first ‘run in’ if you like that Paddy Power have had with Fulham, as back in 2020, Paddy Power paid out on Fulham to be relegated from the Premier League after just three games into the new season, becoming one of the earliest settlements in the operator’s history.
Fulham have endured one of the worst starts to a Premier League campaign, with Monday night’s 3-0 home defeat to Aston Villa making it three losses from three to the 2020/21 season conceding 10 goals in the process.
As a result, they settled on all single and multiple bets on Fulham getting relegated, its second-earliest relegation payout after settling on Stoke City to go down after one match in 2008/09, who ended up finishing 12th.
A Paddy Power spokesman said: “I feel sorry for Fulham and Scott Parker, but it looks like their race is already run – so we’re paying out on them getting relegated this season.”
Fulham ended up finishing 18th and relegated.
