8) OLDHAM

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Oldham Athletic to finish in 8th place for the 2026/27 League Two campaign.

26/27 FFT VERDICT: “Having rebuilt on a bedrock of spirit, togetherness and family feel, Oldham have forward momentum for the first time in decodes. If they miss out on a play-off spot, it’ll only be for want of individual star quality.:

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 14th place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign – instead they ended up in 10th.

7) SALFORD

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Salford City to finish in 7th place (playoffs) for the 2026/27 League Two campaign.

26/27 FFT VERDICT: “After last season’s near-miss, Cklamovski takes the hotseat hoping to lead Salford one step further while evolving the style. The players are capable, but Ange-ball lite on boggy pitches could cause teething problems.”

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 5th place for the 2026/27 League Two campaign – instead they finished 4th.

6) BARNET

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Barnet to finish in 6th place (playoffs) for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

26/27 FFT VERDICT: “Last year’s data darlings hope to pick up where they left off, with 22 points from their last eight matches. They scored 24 goals in that run and have top defenders, too, but promotion depends on replacing Glover.”

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted York City to finish in 4th place (playoffs) for the 2026/27 League Two campaign.

3) CHESTERFIELD

The FourFourTwo magazine predicted the club to finish in 2nd place for the 2025/26 League Two campaign – instead they finished 6th.

2) PORT VALE

The FourFourTwo magazine have predicted Port Vale to finish in 2nd place (automatic promotion) for the 2025/26 League Two campaign.

26/27 FFT VERDICT: “Vale might make cuts, but have made smart summer additions in Jasper Moon and Jackson Smith, have top midfielders for the level, and a manager in Jon Brady who pulled off a similar rebuild at Northampton.”
