We continue our look at the favourites for Swansea City manager…
3) GARRY MONK
Former Swansea City player and manager Garry Monk is being linked with a return to managing them and ditching Birmingham City.
He has also managed Leeds United and Middlesbrough, where he had a win percentage at over 45 at both clubs, better than at Swansea and Birmingham.
Last season he guided the St Andrews club to 17th in the 2018/19 season, though would have been a few positions higher had they not been handed a nine point deduction.
Current odds on Sky Bet: 7/1
2) MICHAEL FLYNN
Michael Flynn is the current manager of League Two side Newport County.
In March 2017, he was appointed as caretaker for the remainder of the 2016/17 season after the sacking of Graham Westley with Newport 11 points adrift at the bottom of League Two. Flynn led the team to Football League survival, avoiding relegation with a win in the final match of the season and confirming the second ‘great escape’ in the club’s history.
In May 2017, Flynn was appointed the permanent manager. Since then, his side beat Leeds United in the FA Cup Third Round, Newport then drew Tottenham in the Fourth Round, achieving a 1–1 draw to force a replay at Wembley Stadium. Tottenham however won the replay.
Flynn’s first full season at Newport County saw them finish the 2017/18 season in 11th place in League Two.
So far this season, he’s took them to the League Two playoff final.
Current odds on Sky Bet: 4/1
1) CAMERON TOSHACK
Reserve team boss Cameron Toshack is the early favourite to replace Graham Potter.
He’s won many admirers during his tenure in charge of them and was key in developing players such as Daniel James, Oli McBurnie, George Byers and Connor Roberts.
Current odds on Sky Bet: 6/4
Our next Swansea Beat Manager Pick is Cameron Toshack!
The Swans Under 23s coach has helped a lot for the academy and he could do well to take us forward. Knows our tactics, the players and most of all the club. pic.twitter.com/STXTigesXT
