After Chris Hughton had his contract terminated by Brighton & Hove Albion on Monday, we’ve taken a look at who are favourites for the job at the Amex Stadium.
Chairman Tony Bloom said, “Chris has done an excellent job over the past four and a half years. First stabilising our club, reaching the play-offs in his first full season, securing our first ever promotion to the Premier League, and retaining our status in two successive seasons.
“Undoubtedly, this has been one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make as chairman of Brighton & Hove Albion, but ultimately one I have made due to how we struggled in the second half of the season.
“Our run of 3 wins from 23 Premier League matches put our status at significant risk. It is with that in mind, and the performances during that period, that I now feel it’s the right time for a change.

6) RAFA BENITEZ
There has been plenty of speculation on Rafa’s future at the Magpies as frustrations on the amount he was being able to spend in the transfer windows grew until Miguel Almiron signed for a club record fee.
He has also reportedly rejected two recent offers for contract extensions, as the club hasn’t answered his questions about the way the club is being run, or given him assurances over investment for the future.
Benitez’s contact ends this summer and talks about a new deal did get postponed until their Premier League safety was assured and they still continue.
