Fans to boycott as Morecambe go viral for all the wrong reasons after defeat to Solihull

Fans announce they are to boycott as Morecambe go viral for all the wrong reasons after a 2-0 defeat to Solihull.

Conor Wilkinson had Solihull ahead 18 minutes in, then Darius Lipsiuc sealed three points for Solihull on the 77th minute goal, to extend Morecambe’s winless run to five league games.

The result sees 23rd with 21 points from 28 games played, 5 points from safety, while Solihull are 10th with 41 points from 29 games played, 6 points from the playoff places.

Interviewer: “Ash, a 2-0 loss to Solihull today, what was your assessment of the performance overall?”

Ashvir: “Really disappointing in the way we started, the way we conceded the goal. We tried to play offside and we weren’t successful at it. They played the ball over the top and scored. We started very slow, they were on the front foot.

“Then as the first half ended and the second half started, we got more into the game apart from the counter-attack that they scored from in the second half, they didn’t have many clear-cut chances and we missed many, many chances that we should have scored from. So, very disappointing to lose in that manner.”

Interviewer: “The two goals ultimately proved decisive for Solihull today. How disappointed were you with those moments?”

Ashvir: “Yeah, really disappointed because those defensive moments, ultimately that’s what’s cost us today’s lapses of concentration both times.

“But more so that we created the chances today. The ball was in their box a lot and we had clear-cut chances to score multiple goals and we didn’t take those chances and that’s what’s really disappointing.”

Interviewer: “As you mentioned, there were those chances in the second half. What do you think was missing?”

Ashvir: “Composure in the box, staying calm in a moment of chaos, maybe taking an extra touch at times to shoot. But the chances were definitely there today.”

Interviewer: “With a break in fixtures now, what will be the key focus in the week ahead?”

Ashvir: “Taking chances. We didn’t create many chances against Halifax but we had enough chances to score. Today we created a lot and didn’t score.

“So, again, it’s going to be refining those moments and making sure we start the game better because we started really poorly today. We were very, very flat. So, we need to start better and take our chances.”

@The1920Union tweeted: “The 1920Union are regrettably announcing a call for fans to boycott all home matches until Panjab Warriors rectify their glaring error and relieve Ashvir Singh Johal of his managerial duties.

“We are distraught and disgusted that it has to come to this, but after fighting so hard to get our club back in recent years, we will not stand by idly as individuals with no knowledge of football operations keep the current management team in place.

“Repeated assurances that on the pitch performances would improve have not come to fruition, and it is quite frankly disrespectful to Morecambe supporters that the owners continue to allow this deterioration to happen without changing anything.

“If Ashvir continues in his role, there is no doubt in our minds that the club will be relegated to the National League North. This would cause catastrophic damage to all areas of the football club and community.

“Immediate action is needed to prevent this, and with the 10 day gap until our next fixture, this is the ideal time to make the required managerial change.

“Our boycott will end as soon as Ashvir is dismissed, and we will throw all our support behind this clearly capable team in the hopes of staying in the division.”

Morecambe go viral for all the wrong reasons as Ashvir Singh Johal reacts to the defeat against Solihull…

@AllAtSeaFanzine: I predict he will be sacked around Feb 8-10 and your players will suddenly grow some balls with a new manager in to carry on your record at Roots Hall. And nobody will ever question those players who got the last guy sacked.

@ArgyleMemes: This bloke is making Morecambe wish they’d been liquidated.

@stockport871: Here he is, was getting worried something had happened to him for a minute. Everyone’s tired, they are struggling to get any new analogies or cliches so they’ve clipped him to 7 seconds 💀🤣

@JRP_OT: Has this guy ever taken part in a post match interview with any sort of positive? 😂 He’s always talking about why they lost.

@mightyquinn89: I’m really disappointed he’s still the manager

@CabezaJake: This guy is becoming a weekly meme. Hes literally putting himself in shop window to be laughed at every week. If a surgeon kills 9/10 of his patients, he’d pack it in. How long is he gonna keep deluding himself 🤣🤣🤣

@LeeSharps316: The fact this guy still has a job shows how useless @Panjabwarriors are. Take over a club to give your friend a job. You gave Morecambe FC hope and are ruining your reputation by backing this guy. Do the right thing for your clubs fans.

@jswindle29: Sad it’s come to this but it’s the best thing for the club, which comes before anyone.

@Jordan09A: @AshvirJohal your time is up pal. Pack your things.

@IanParfitt: The interview the whole of Britain has been waiting for….I always check the date because 99% of the interviews are following a defeat!! 😂

@Baldy_Bassey: Do you guys ever win a game? Because it seems like he’s always on everyone’s timeline explaining a loss 😂😂 Do yourselves a favour and sack him

@SBJJC97: We’re really disappointed you’re still in a job

@Theowls94: So wank. This team are on my feed losing every week

@EdSmith666: wish this fucker would get off my feed alls i ever see is this clown talking about a defeat Morecambe fans must be pulling there hair out. I’m not even a Morecambe fan and i want him sacked to get him of my feed!

@Shaunsowray: Sack him now and give ourselves a chance of staying up. Leave it too late and it’s game over. Over to you @Panjabwarriors

@PFCkx: See this bloke talking about losses more than i see my own family

@Harleydevon78: fans should stick together and join this boycott. It worked last time it will work again. Stick together as one 🦐💔

@xndachels: not a nice call to make but it’s absolutely necessary given the state of affairs. good luck with the boycotts & hopefully Ashvir is sacked soon 🤞
