Fans have took to mock League Two outfit Crawley Town after signing ex-Premier League and Championship player Jordon Mutch.
The 31 year old joins a Red Devils side who currently sit 23rd in the fourth tier and are two points from safety, worried that they could be dropping into non league for the first time since 2010/11.
He could make his debut for the club against Northampton at the weekend, but hasn’t played a game since May 2022.

CLUB STATEMENT:
Crawley Town Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of free agent midfielder Jordon Mutch until the end of the 2022/23 season, who will be available for selection with immediate effect.
The 31-year-old has been a free agent since his departure from Australian A-League side Macarthur FC in May of 2022. Last season he made 21 league appearances for Macarthur who finished in a mid-table league position under then manager Ante Milicic.
Mutch boasts an impressive footballing CV with experience in the Premier League and Championship, as well as more recent campaigns in Canada, South Korea and Norway.
The midfielder has 78 Premier League appearances under his belt for Birmingham, Queenโs Park Rangers, Crystal Palace and Cardiff City, as well as 92 Championship appearances for the likes of Watford and Doncaster Rovers.
Speaking on his move to the Reds, Mutch said: โI am very happy to join Crawley until the end of the season and play under the boss. I canโt wait to start playing, and hopefully, me and the team can have some positive results from now until the end of the year, and we are very focused on the task ahead.โ
Director of Football Chris Galley said: โIโm delighted to welcome Jordon to the club. Weโve been monitoring him for a while, so glad to get him into the club. Heโs a quality player with a vast amount of experience.โ
Mutch joined Birmingham in 2007 from Derby County’s youth system, going on to make his competitive debut for the club in the League Cup in August 2008, and his first appearance in the EFL while on loan to Hereford United the following year.
He also spent loan spells in the Championship with the likes of Doncaster and Watford, and became a first-team regular for Birmingham, before leaving for Cardiff in 2012.
Mutch contributed to the Bluebirds’ promotion to the Premier League in his first campaign, and after their relegation in 2014 he returned to the top flight with QPR.
Unable to establish himself in their first team, he joined Crystal Palace in January 2015 and spent the second half of the 2017โ18 season on loan to Reading and the 2018 MLS season with Vancouver Whitecaps FC, before leaving Palace by mutual consent in January 2019.
After brief stints at South Korean K League 1 club Gyeongnam, Aalesund of the Norwegian Eliteserien, and Australian A-League club Western Sydney Wanderers, he joined Macarthur FC in 2021 and stayed until May 2022.
He has also represented his country at levels from under-17 to under-21.
