Fans hit out at the FA for handing out a one-match ban to Wigan Athletic player Miguel Azeez over a flare ‘incident’ at Cardiff City.
The 20 year old on-loan Arsenal player, was charged by the Football Association last week, just days after he had picked up the flare while celebrating Will Keane’s late equaliser against the Bluebirds.
Azeez picked up the pyrotechnic, then threw it back on the ground, but admitted an improper conduct charge.
He will be unavailable for the Championship match at Blackburn on Monday the 6th of February.
Azeez signed for the Latics this month after a loan at Spanish side Ibiza was cut short following 10 appearances.

Earlier last season, The Football Association issued a statement explaining why Richarlison will miss Tottenham’s opening match of the Premier League season against Southampton on the 6th of August.
In the celebrations after his goal, he ran over to the home crowd and picked up a blue flare that was thrown on to the pitch and then threw it back into the supporters.
The FA issued Richarlison with a ยฃ25,000 fine and banned him for one match.
And in May 2022, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said he would speak to Harvey Elliott after he was contacted by the Football Association (FA) for holding a red flare following the side’s Carabao Cup win.
Elliott was subbed on in the second half and netted home Liverpool’s ninth penalty in the shootout. But he was pictured holding a flare in the midst of the celebrations.
“I haven’t spoken to Harvey yet. Will I speak to him? Yes, maybe,” Klopp said.
“Harvey is a very young man on the pitch, and also I think he’s still a little bit more a boy. That’s not a problem. It was a mistake. All because of the role model role we have, as people working in public, I understand 100% I will tell him. I can promise he will not do it again. Do I think was the worst thing that ever happened in world football? No.
“I understand 100% why it is not okay… the best thing about making a mistake is you don’t do it again.”
The FA have written to Elliott for observations of the incident.

He was just given a warning off the FA with no punishment.
The FA should use this as an example,
