Fans took to applaud Borussia Dortmund after they hilariously troll Newcastle United with Geordie Shore reference on Tuesday night.
The Bundesliga outfit went viral with a video including Scotty T after the Magpies’ 2-0 Champions League defeat out in Germany, but even the Toon Army were laughing at what the club posted.
Fair to say, that is superb banter form the BVB social media team, with the video, which was captioned ‘Hope Germany was a rag time, Scotty 😉’, getting over 42,000 likes on Twitter.
It caught the attention of Scotty T himself, to which he said in a tweet: “Radge* Can’t wait to see you get bent over in the next two games like @FCBayern did you @ weekend. As you were 🍺”

The game itself saw goals from Niclas Fullkrug and Julian Brandt give Borussia Dortmund a vital win that leaves Eddie Howe’s Newcastle facing a huge task to progress from Group F.
Joelinton also missed the best chances for his side at Signal-Iduna Park, with a dejected looking squad applauded by those in the away end come full time.
Player ratings (via Sky Sports)
Borussia Dortmund: Kobel (6); Sule (7), Hummels (7), Schlotterbeck (6), Ryerson (6); Ozcan (6), Sabitzer (6), Nmecha (7); Adeyemi (8), Fullkrug (7), Brandt (7).
Subs: Reus (n/a), Moukoko (n/a).
Newcastle: Pope (7); Trippier (6), Schar (6), Lascelles (6), Livramento (7); Guimaraes (6), Willock (6), Longstaff (6); Hall (4), Joelinton (5), Wilson (5).
Subs: Gordon (6), Almiron (6), Miley (n/a).
Player of the match: Karim Adeyemi.
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe, speaking to TNT Sports: “Not our best performance today, I thought right from the start we weren’t quite where we needed to be. In saying that, we were right in the game and Joelinton’s chance is probably the moment for us where we were either going to get back in or we didn’t and unfortunately it didn’t happen.”
On it feeling like one game too far: “It probably looked like that in our performance, it certainly didn’t feel like that in our preparation, but we probably didn’t have the energy we had on Saturday. A little bit flat in our performance, but it wasn’t for the want of trying, the players were executing what they could but it wasn’t quite there.”
On the players not holding anything back: “There never is from the group, they’re such an honest group of players, they have attacked every game that we have asked them to. They’ve given a lot tonight again so it’s a disappointing defeat, I think if we were at our best I still believe we could have won tonight so [it is] frustrating on our side.”
Howe added, as per the Northern Echo: “I think we’ve lost the ability to make certain decisions. In a sense, I’m being forced to make certain decisions and pick certain teams.
“Looking at Anthony Gordon, he played for 90 minutes against Arsenal and gave absolutely everything physically, and I think the turnaround for him was just too quick. I didn’t think he could start the match, so we had to use him as an impact player.
“In a different set of circumstances, you’d probably have liked to have played a different type of winger, but I’m not going to sit here and make excuses, that’s what we have.
“It was a very similar game to the Dortmund one last month. A frustration with our performance is knowing there is more in the tank to give. We’re better than that and can show a better version of ourselves than we did.
“I don’t think Dortmund have seen the best Newcastle and that always leaves a feeling of frustration. But we accept it, we’ve delivered it, and we have to look to the future now.
Howe opted to take off Hall at the break after the full-back picked up a ninth-minute booking, but insists his decision should not be interpreted as a negative assessment of the youngster’s display.
“The booking contributed to my decision to take him off because we couldn’t risk going down to ten men. I thought he performed okay in the first half. We tried to give ourselves two substitutes to use when we needed them.”
Newcastle now get set for an away game against Eddie Howe’s former side AFC Bournemouth. The Magpies currently sit 6th in the Premier League table, with 20 points from 11 games. The Cherries are 18th with 6 points from 11 games.
