Fans who were affected by the medical emergency that took place at Cambridge v Rotherham have been urged to seek support.
In the 7th minute of the League One clash, that game was stopped, with medics in attendance in the Habbin Stand with both teams’ players making their way over to the dug outs.
Thankfully, Cambridge have confirmed that the supporter who suffered a cardiac arrest survived after being revived by the medical staff.

Cambridge United would like to extend its deepest thanks and sincere gratitude to all the staff for their exceptional efforts and professionalism during last night’s medical incident…
We are relieved to inform you that the spectator, who suffered a cardiac arrest, was revived and conscious after receiving medical assistance as they left the ground. Our thoughts and best wishes are with the fan and their family, and we sincerely hope for a full and healthy recovery.
We also want to express our appreciation for the cooperation and compassion shown by many of the surrounding fans during what must have been a very difficult time. We understand how challenging this may have been for those in attendance.
If any fans feel affected by the incident and require support, the Club’s Mental Health support partner, MyNurva – who already provide Season Ticket Holders free access to their service – are extending their offer to all fans who may wish to use their 1:1 video therapy service.

The game itself played out to a 1-0 victory for Rotherham, with Sam Nombe netting in the 92nd minute, his side’s first away victory in 41 league games.
