An FA Cup Preliminary Round tie ended up having to be abandoned at half time over the weekend, according to reports starting to emerge.
Sevenoaks Town, of the Isthmian League South East Division, saw their game against Combined Counties League Premier Division club CB Hounslow United only played out 45 minutes of the game.
Full details of the incident are yet to be confirmed, however it is being said by Sevenoaks they were investigating an ‘alleged matter’.
At least three posts on social media site Twitter are claiming that it was due to ‘racism’ from a supporter.
Sevenoaks said: “Today’s game has been abandoned. We are investigating an alleged matter and no further comment will be made until this process has been concluded.”

The home side were on course for the next round as they dominated the opening 45 minutes after their Combined Counties League opponents.
Kyle De Silva and Tyrell Richardson-Brown put the hosts 2-0 up inside 18 minutes, before adding a third goal through James Bessey-Sakdana nine minutes before the half time whistle blew.
However, there was brief confusion for those inside the ground as the CB Hounslow team chose not to emerge at the start of the second half.

Fans reacted after the FA Cup tie gets abandoned at half time, find out what they had to say below…
I think no comment is the best strategy until investigations have been concluded.
I’ve been wondering if the noises being made by the lad in the stand were misconstrued? Could be worth looking at as part of your investigation @SevenoaksTownFC

U have a lot to comment on u fucking waste of a club, their fans made monkey chants at my friend. Racism isn’t just in premier league football it’s also in semi professional level https://t.co/oZ9SWI7blh

Are you being serious?
This ain’t West Ham who are actively trying to screw over fans. This is non league where teams just try to survive and scraping back a few quid from them could actually do them some harm, specially after the lockdown etc Do them a favour and leave it.

….. and to be fair, they were 3-0 up, the last thing they would have wanted was to abandon the game.
And just for clarity, I’m not belittling the seriousness of the allegations, if they turn out to be true then the book should be thrown at whoever it is that is liable.

He reckons it was harrassment from the sidelines but doesn’t want to talk about it for some reason, wonder why

Mugs like u who don’t put their picture up and hide behind a saying shouldn’t be allowed in grounds. If a young player has been racially abused show some fucking common sense and sympathy rather than argue the point. B interesting take from @Towno10 @kickitout
— camisyfl (@camisyfl) September 12, 2020
You’ve got some imagination to think the player would make up allegations mid game. Racism isn’t okay in football
— Cal (@CalEdw) September 12, 2020
@SevenoaksTownFC Fans really are dumb.
Racially abusing away team when winning 3-0 in the Fa cup.
What a way to go out. ?— Casual Spectator (@SpectatorCasual) September 13, 2020
Shame to see what has allegedly happened at this weekend’s FA Cup tie between Sevenoaks town and CB Hounslow United. Racism has no place in the game, or anywhere for that matter. Kick it out. Get rid of this abuse towards black/ethnic footballers. Shouldn’t be happening in 2020!

Unbelievable what happened today, the whole squad stood behind both our brothers abused. Ridiculous behaviour from the opposition, what a club @CBHounslowUTD is. No room for racism anywhere, hopefully the @EmiratesFACup deal with it appropriately! ? pic.twitter.com/n724Dj8KNb

Fair play to @CBHounslowUTD for making a statement today. Knowing the club, I know the scoreline, potential cup winnings and the next round in the FA Cup is immaterial to them. No place for racism, ever or anywhere. Proud of everyone at the club. #makeastand
