23/24 FA Cup First Round magic with shock upsets and thrashings | Second Round draw ball numbers

In this article we look at the FA Cup First Round magic with shock upsets and thrashings as well as the Second Round draw ball numbers.

Over 100 goals were scored across the FA Cup First Round ties on Saturday afternoon, with more still to be played out over the next 24 hours.

The stand-out result came at the County Ground where National League Aldershot beat League Two Swindon 7-4 away from home.

An extraordinary game saw Aldershot become the first ever non league side to score seven goals against league opponents.

Four late goals for Swindon took a bit of the gloss off the scoreline, but The Shots go through to the second round. The highlights are a must see…

62 places below their National League visitors but it’s one-time Man Utd man Lee Martin who has guided Isthmian South East side Ramsgate to the second round for the first time in their history.

Watch the moment eighth-tier Ramsgate completed a shock 2-1 victory in the FA Cup at home to National League side Woking with fans storming onto the pitch.

Elsewhere, sixth-tier Scarborough took League Two side Forest Green to a replay, having come very close to winning, only for after Olly Sully’s stoppage-time equaliser to prevent the upset.

Among all-EFL ties, three League Two sides knocked out League One opponents with Barrow winning 3-1 at Northampton 3-1, AFC Wimbledon won 5-1 against Cheltenham Town 5-1, and Morecambe won 2-1 at Lincoln.
