Video emerges showing every angle of Patrick Bamford’s outrageous goal as Leeds beat Peterborough in the FA Cup Third Round.
The 30 year old scored with a “belter” of a volley to double Leeds’ advantage over the Posh, with fans left stunned at what they’re calling a Puskas Award winner.
Phil Hay summed it up on Twitter, saying: “BAMFORD. SENSATIONAL. Check this out. Long ball forward from Ampadu to Bamford who chests it down and then hits it on the volley, turning, left-footed, over Talley and into the top corner.
“What a goal… hard to see anyone touching that for goal of the season. Exquisite technique and an all-round banger.
“Having seen many an FA Cup debacle away from home, that result/performance is not to be sniffed at. If you’re Marco Van Bamford, you’re nicking the match ball after a finish like his. #lufc”
SIMPLY. BREATHTAKING.

Paul Robinson (Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live) said: “Wow. Wow. Wow.
“You will not see a better goal this weekend and possibly this year.
“Patrick Bamford chests it down and he turns on the half volleying it into the top corner.
“A goal to mark the occasion, what a finish from Patrick Bamford.
“Leeds could have had a potential difficult cup game. The Leeds United team came here with the right application and they had the extra bit of quality.”
When asked if he had scored a better goal, Bamford said: “No, probably not. But it only counts as one so they all count the same I guess.
“I just made the movement in behind. I made a few runs during the game and obviously as soon as I brought it down on my chest I just had one thing on my mind really.
“I didn’t realise until I had actually hit the ball that the defender had slipped so I could have taken it on, but I had already made up my mind up that I was going to shoot.
“I am pleased with it, but it just counts the same as a tap in!”
“The goal was ok I guess,” Farke said. “It was world class really. There is no other description for it.
“It’s job done, but in a pretty good manner because we expected a difficult game. A side who is sitting in the top positions in League One is always a side playing with Championship quality, more or less.
“Peterborough have just had good results in recent weeks either wins or draws. Here, in their home game, they played the best starting 11 and they were on it.
“It was a difficult game so I’m pretty pleased that we were able to win. It was a tight game at times, but three goals and a clean sheet makes it look comfortable.
“I’m quite happy. We were on it in this game. We rested a few players, gave some valuable minutes to players who really needed them, but we still wanted to win it.
“It’s never easy when you have so many changes, but we were really focused, concentrated and greedy to win it.
“Hopefully we get a home draw now, although our fans made this sound like a home game.”

This is how fans reacted as every angle of Patrick Bamford’s outrageous goal emerges as Leeds beat Peterborough in the FA Cup…
@BJY_2152: Patrick Bamford’s goal is the difference between a striker being instinctive & not thinking & what sadly for them no Arsenal striker does. That’s not taught.
