England’s 2022 World Cup Home Kit Leaked

England’s 2022 World Cup home kit has been leaked but it’s left fans divided over the look of it, fair to say it’s different.

FootyHeadlines reveal ‘the first picture’ of the jersey which the Three Lions players might just be wearing for the tournament this winter.

It features a gradient design in navy and light blue, said to be combining England’s traditional white main colour with sky blue & navy – “White/Blue Fury/Blue Void” with the colour combo a nod to memories of the late 1990s.

The home shirt features a gradient from dark blue to light blue on the sleeves with the colours repeated on the cuffs and are split in the center.

Template-wise, the Nike England 2022 World Cup home football shirt features the same template as the brand’s 22-23 club shirts.

The website go on to say that England’s 2022 home kit will be officially released in the second half of 2022.

Fans reacted with England’s 2022 World Cup home kit leaked however not everyone is keen on it…

@markjh68: That’s rotten

@MadeleyMaldini: That’s clapped

@chrwil82: If that’s real I’m not watching it

@XanderWright3: Women’s England kits superior. This is awful. Looks more like training gear.

@AFC_FJG: Nike need to stop using this template, it’s awful.

@davidc98: that’s horrible

@joshgio23: 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@TheTexasGooner: It’s here and it’s rubbish 😂

@ruinedshirts: Thought that was a training shirt. Very uninspiring

@clxrki: Bring Umbro back

@dazzt8: That’s dreadful 😫

@leo_phillips: Better than I imagined it was going to be, based on the leaks, but still not great. I prefer red numbers on my England shirts but don’t see how they work with this. 6.5/10.

@bcwatkinson: and I thought the women’s euro shirt was crap.

@CFCIllustrated1: I like it, not love but will pick it up

@BillyLawrence99:
If true:
– love the sleeve cuffs
– bit warm up shirt vibes
– 7/10

@juza_23: It’s not great, but compared to the predicted version it’s basically Holland 88.

@ChatShirt: The response to this I feel will be like the reaction to the Euro 96 shirt (which I surprisingly still remember) – initial disapproval that it’s not “traditional” & long term legacy dictated by how England do in #Qatar2022. I love it. I just hope it doesn’t have red numbers.

@JamesFinbow: Please tell me this isn’t real! It’s woeful.

@hendocfc: I… like it? I genuinely do?

@cranmer87: Please god no

@lukemartiny96: Bring back @UmbroUK

@jakotamta: so nice to see an england shirt that isn’t just plain

@TheKFCKezman: Had potential but this execution is not the one

@_luke1878_: I think it’s great, much better than the predictions

@DraytonCanary1: Better than others seen but I really dislike the Nike rounded line across the shoulders/chest. General new template for them though. Englands works better than others so far

@ForeverOUFC: Really not sure what to make of this, different, it’s out there, we really could have done so much better though, makes me feel cold, apt with world cup being held in winter lol

England boss Gareth Southgate shared his thoughts on the 2022 World Cup draw, after seeing his side placed in Group B with USA, Iran and either Wales, Scotland or Ukraine.

Southgate said: “The first two teams we’ve not played for quite a while, and with the third while it’s not a total unknown, it could throw up a British derby and we know what they’re all about as we’ve had plenty of them.

“For us, we’re in on day one so it’s quite clear now what our programme looks like with the end of the Premier League programme and then getting out here as quickly as possible.”

“We’ve got to get out of the group,” he said. “And what we’ve done well in the past is looking at the group and making sure we get out of it regardless of the opposition, and then you build from there.

“I think when you’re seeded, you get the advantage of missing those six or seven big teams and for most of the first seeds, they would probably be pleased with the group they get.

“But there’s some really highly ranked teams in Pot 2 and the US is an interesting one for us.

“I know [USA coach] Gregg Berhalter quite well, we’ve met a few times and had long chats about things, in fact only a couple of weeks ago.

“They’ve got some good players and we know what they could be capable of as a nation. So that, in particular, is an intriguing game.”

As for the third game, which could be a UK derby with either Scotland or Wales or against fellow Euro team, Ukraine, Southgate must await the outcome of the remaining games and that’s something he doesn’t believe should be pushed.

“In this situation, all of our thoughts are with Ukraine and the people of Ukraine,” he added.

“So when that tie is played and when it’s played out is irrelevant for us really.

“It’s for the rest of us to adapt and adjust and provide them the opportunity to play as and when they’re able to.”
