The England U21s’ Euros Final clash with Spain is set to be televised after a late offer was made to UEFA for it to be sown across the nation.
Channel 4, who also hold rights for the England senior squad’s Euro qualifiers, announced that they have secured broadcasting rights for England’s Under-21 European Championship final against Spain this Saturday.
MailSport also claim that BBC were interested and made an offer, however they miss out this time around.
The broadcasting company will now show the event, with it kicking off at 5pm UK time, so be sure to switch it on, or head on down the pub, in the beer garden and back the boys in the summer sunshine with your mates.
What a weekend of sport we’ve got for you 🦁🦁🦁

Channel 4’s Chief Content Officer Ian Katz said: “Channel 4 has brought a number of historic sporting moments to a free to air audience in recent years and we’re delighted that the nation will be able to watch England’s Under-21s as they attempt to make their own bit of history against Spain on Saturday.
“The Young Lions final will be part of a bumper weekend of sport on Channel 4 with live coverage of qualifying for the British GP earlier on Saturday and the Grand Prix itself on Sunday.”
England U21s will be playing in their first final for 14 years this Saturday at the Adjarabet Arena in host nation Georgia.
Gareth Southgate will fly out to attend the game and see if the side can lift the U21 European Championship trophy for the first time since 1984.
The England senior men’s team manager and Steve Holland, his assistant, previously watched the Young Lions’ group stage wins over Israel and Germany last month.
Mark Bullingham, the FA’s chief executive, is also reportedly making his way there too.
Lee Carsley’s players have made it to the final without conceding a goal and comfortably hitting three past Israel in Wednesday night’s semi-final.
The only way fans could watch the tournament so far was trough UEFA’s streaming service, Uefa.tv, as they also refused to give the FA permission to show England’s games on their YouTube channel.
Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White, who had seen a penalty go wide before opening the scoring, said: “I’m pretty speechless right now. But we all believed we could do it.
“From the get-go, we’ve been working so hard with the same team for the last two years, and our only goal was to make this final and we’ve achieved it now so we’re grateful.
“But there is so much work still to be done so we’ll get back on the training ground tomorrow, be focused and work harder than ever.”
When Curtis Jones was asked if he could sum up his feelings, he replied: “No I can’t really. I just want to say thank you to the whole team and the staff as well because they have done a great job.
“We’re in the final now and I think it will be a good one.”
He continued: “Israel are a good side. In the group game against them [which England won 2-0], they pressed us and we managed to play around them a bit. In this one, they sat back and made it hard. But we came through, and that’s what a good team does.
