EFL confirm the two matches to be televised in the 2024/25 Carabao Cup Second Round and it’s fair to say this is going to provoke reaction.
A total of 50 clubs play in the second round: the 13 Premier League clubs not involved in European competition, the top 2 EFL Championship clubs (Luton Town and Burnley) entered at this stage along with the 35 winners from the first round.
The draw for this round was split on a geographical basis into “northern” and “southern” sections with teams also drawn against a team from the same section. The second round draw took place on the 14th of August and now the TV selections, dates and times are out…

EFL STATEMENT:
Two Carabao Cup Round Two ties have been selected for broadcast live on Sky Sports Football.
Birmingham City v Fulham (Tuesday 27 August, 8.00pm)
Nottingham Forest v Newcastle United (Wednesday 28 August, 8.00pm)
For the first time ever, all Carabao Cup matches this season will be available for fans in the UK to watch on Sky Sports. However, games will not be available to stream internationally.
The remaining games games will be available to watch on Sky Sports+.
Integrated into the current Sky TV experience and the revamped Sky Sports mobile app, Sky Sports+ is available at no extra cost for subscribers of the full Sky Sports package. All televised fixtures will also be available on streaming service NOW.
Existing Sky Sports subscribers can find Sky Sports+ at no extra cost on TV and mobile.
Non-Sky Sports subscribers can watch every game by purchasing a NOW Sports Membership accessed through the NOW app on all compatible TV, Mobile, Tablet, Computer, Console and Streaming devices, see here for full details.
