EFL confirm 2024/25 Carabao Cup Third Round TV selections, dates, kick off times

The EFL confirm the 2024/25 Carabao Cup Third Round TV selections, dates, kick off times and more for towards the end of this month.

Carabao Cup Round Three fixtures will take place W/C 16 and 23 September, with fixtures in the Champions League (W/C 16 September) and Europa League (W/C 23 September) also scheduled during this period. The additional dates required in the calendar for European competitions are as a result of an increased number of games for the 2024/25 season.

To ensure there was no clash of fixture dates, conditions was implemented during the Round Three draw to ensure a Club participating in the Champions League does not draw a Club participating in the Europa League, to enable the Round Three fixtures to take place in the alternate week.

Now the ties are drawn out, time to find out when they will be played…

Twitter users reacted as the EFL confirm the 2024/25 Carabao Cup Third Round TV selections, dates, kick off times…

@madman_good: Done Barrow and Wimbledon dirty there as the two lowest ranked sides left in the competition, but I am not surprised as one of their games could have been picked over Liverpool vs West Ham

@Davysom71: Fair do’s don’t get to see Man U on the tv enough these days, bollocks to the smaller clubs

@8Brunology: Ah yes Liverpool west ham a game we can watch twice a year already. Rest are good choices

@LGCFC1989: Of course man united. That’s got the making of a real great cup tie there

@nnash72: Obviously Man U been selected, boring Sky.

@prime_rajovic: Why the fuck are we tbc ???!!!!

@GrouchoEngels: Glad our game is televised, but Man U vs Barnsley as a main game instead of Wimbledon vs Newcastle. What a load of shite that is.

@ChrisOraa: Liverpool West Ham on Sky… it’s not like we’re going to see them in the Premier League twice a season πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

@jm_bell95: Liverpool v West Ham instead of Wimbledon v Newcastle or Walsall v Leicester? Once again, poor πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
