With there being speculation on Danny Drinkwater’s future, we take a look at which clubs are favourites to sign him up.
Earlier this month, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri hinted that he was willing to sell him after making just one appearance for the Blues this season.
Sarri said: “The situation is that Drinkwater for me is not suitable for a midfield with two midfielders. I told him two months ago what I think.”

During his time at Leicester City, Drinkwater lifted the Premier League title in 2016.
He was later sold to Chelsea by Craig Shakespeare, but has struggled for game time with the Community Shield being his only bit of game time for the Blues.

In July, it was reported that Newcastle United made an enquiry for Drinkwater, however nothing materialised.
After the rumours came out, fans debated whether they should sign him, the majority weren’t keen.

4th) WEST HAM UNITED

West Ham were another club, reported by the Mirror, to be keen to sign Drinkwater in July and August on a season long loan.
Unlike Newcastle fans, the Hammers supporters gave a much more positive reaction on whether they should sign him. One however said “On £120k a week be surprised if anyone would buy him on those wages.”

3rd) AFC BOURNEMOUTH

There haven’t been any previous reports to say that Bournemouth have wanted to sign Drinkwater.
Website FootballFancast recent put out an article suggesting that the Cherries is the best suited club for him to move to and that he’d be ‘perfect foil’ to Callum Wilson and Josh King.
