This is what fans said as Dag & Red appoint the experienced former Football League player as their new manager…

@Diggerthedog1: Welcome home Ben, a proper Dagger let’s hope this appointment is the right one for all concerned.

@obarry11: All about next season now! Welcome back strevs πŸ˜…πŸ˜€πŸ‘

@nickidagger: Great choice, welcome back Ben

@Michellebarthr2: Welcome home Ben.

@KeithyD88: All the best @strevs12 πŸ‘

@OnceADagger: Not surprising aside from the time it took to get him in. I do resent slightly how we always tend to keep things in the family, but Strevs is showing himself to be a good manager and someone to hopefully get the Dagger’s mentality of old back. So let’s back him and enjoy it βš”οΈ

@hornchurchammer: Let’s get into those playoffsβ€¦πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ»

@PeaLauncher: Poor Daggers

@Deanosyko: Welcome home Ben Strevens buzzing with this!!!

@toptargets: Ah bless. Hope he does well and wish any manager all the best but I love how clubs spin it…. “finished 7th in his first season as Eastleigh manager”….. didn’t want to go with was sacked by Eastleigh last Jan when they were bottom of the league having just lost to DoverπŸ˜…

@ben_yfd: I for one didn’t really mind who we got in (except for Phil Brown) but i can fully get behind this. One of our own and did so well with Eastleigh with a small budget. Perfect fit to be honest

@md123: Much rather this than the rumours of Phil Brown, but same as whoever got the job a lot of work to do. Hopefully some of that attitude/team ethics from when he was here as a player will come back to the side now

@9men: Great that we seemingly did a proper process and great to have a legend home. Hope it works out.

@DRFC112: GET IN THERE. BEN STREVS RED AND BLUE ARMYYYYY βš”οΈβš”οΈβš”οΈβš”οΈ
